by American Wife on Fri Nov 28, 2008 04:02 PM PSTall time 3rd place ACC championships behind the Tigers and I think Florida State.
GO TIGERS.
Should be a good game
by Kaveh Nouraee on Fri Nov 28, 2008 03:20 PM PSTI grew up in Maryland. ACC all the way. Granted, the Terps couldn't win a game even if they had a two TD lead with less than 2 minutes on the clock and they had the ball, 1st and goal at the one yard line, but hey, what can you do?
LOL
by American Wife on Fri Nov 28, 2008 02:29 PM PSTI LOVED that movie. After seeing it, I'll never feel bad about people teasing me about my accent again. Is that for real? Oh wait... isn't the blonde on the right Miss South Carolina? :-0
Nothing like an election to get the old juices flowing. Alot of great debates have been fought on IC. Alot of bullshit as well. I respect anyone who presents their side in a fair and logical way, even if I don't agree with them. You and several others provided some truly admirable arguments. Again, I consider it an honor to debate or discuss with so many obviously talented people.
I'm glad you take it all in fun. What's life without humor? And who can you laugh at if you can't laugh at yourself?
One more football game... THE game of the year... Clemson versus South Carolina on Saturday... and then I'll focus on basketball. I know NBA rules on the West Coast but on the East Coast, it's all ACC versus SEC, baby.

It's not much, but it's from the heart.
yes, it's true the election is over
by American Wife on Fri Nov 28, 2008 12:25 PM PSTbut that old Sarah Palin... she just keeps going and going like the Energizer bunny. This ISN'T old news. As long as she continues plugging herself into every single media venue there is, she's going to be fodder for us, you betcha!
Marge
by Kaveh Nouraee on Fri Nov 28, 2008 11:02 AM PSTJoe Biden is indeed a gentleman, but scandal-free? I have two words for you: Neil Kinnock.
Palin sucked, Palin doesn't know Africa is a continent, Palin lost the election, yadda yadda yadda, meow, meow, meow.
The election is over. History. Yesterday's news. This is like digging up something that was thrown in the garbage just to crumple it up some more.
Oh about Joe Biden.... the media killed him
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Fri Nov 28, 2008 06:23 AM PSTAre you kidding? Obama picked him because he is scandal free and a gentleman and can say a complete sentence unlike Sarah Palin. Every time Biden said something silly, even in "private" quarters, he was slammed. That's not unfair to me. No one complained about that on our side.
Palin just sucked, even the fairest of the fair admitted this. McCain knows it too..... there are so many reasons for this!
I'm not saying don't have fun
by Kaveh Nouraee on Tue Nov 25, 2008 12:49 PM PSTIt's not so much that I support her as much as I can't stand the Democrats.
But honestly, she's old news.
As far as Miss SC....she's the reason why condoms were invented. I mean, there's absolutely NO chlorine in that gene pool :-)
oh come on
by American Wife on Tue Nov 25, 2008 12:15 PM PSTDon't begrudge us a little fun. It's no skin off your teeth. I'd find it hard to believe that you supported her or thought she was a worthy VP. You have to admit she brings most of this scrutiny upon herself. She gave, how many?, personal interviews in her kitchen for pete's sake. It's way beyond a difference of political views. This is pure entertainment. Now if I were to find out she's your second cousin's sister-in-law's roommate from college's best friend, I'll apologize. Until then, it ain't personal and it's funny. Come back to Miss SC and make fun all you want...:-)
AW
by Kaveh Nouraee on Tue Nov 25, 2008 11:17 AM PSTI know that you and a few others thoroughly enjoy seeing her get ridiculed. During the campaign, she was under tremendous scrutiny, whether it was because of her clothes, her teenage daughter, her way of speaking, or whatever.
Some of it was justified, some of it was not. She didn't seek the VP slot. She was approached out of the blue by McCain's crew.
But it's been three weeks since the election. McCain has barely been a blip on the radar. And Joe Biden? I think they're about to issue a missing person's bulletin on Joe Biden. And he's on the winning ticket!
I'm not suggesting that you or anyone else must like her or what she stands for or anything of the sort. But it's enough already.
No one "trashed" her during the campaign.
by American Wife on Tue Nov 25, 2008 09:54 AM PSTThey reported her. She's news media heaven. She loves the attention and America loves making fun of her. As long as she continues her imbecilic ways, she's gonna make news.
Marge
by Kaveh Nouraee on Mon Nov 24, 2008 09:42 AM PSTThe ones making excuses are these news outlets who trashed her during the campaign and now are so desperate that they are trailing her every move. Every organization who trashed her wants to interview her now. It's ok if you don't find anything wrong with that, but I do.
The woman doesn't affect our lives in the least.
Of course Kaveh blames the guy....
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Sat Nov 22, 2008 05:49 AM PSTKaveh, she was asked to move, if she wants to move, and she said NO.
This woman is a moron. I can't stand everyone making excuses.
The media loves her for the same reason porn is popular. You can't stop even if you want to! Media porn = Sarah Palin. Not because she's a good leader, but she's a representative of our fantasies and fears = she's dumb and she's actually some people's boss! So sad.
As Much As
by Kaveh Nouraee on Fri Nov 21, 2008 02:59 PM PSTeveryone is supposedly so sick and tired of her, the news media is all over her like lint!
The woman didn't do anything wrong, for God's sake. It's that moron shoving turkeys in that slaughtering contraption who needs to get his ass kicked for standing there and turning to mug for the camera like Cletus, The Slack Jawed Yokel (from The Simpsons)
Since we have Marge and now, Ned, I figured Cletus would be an appropriate analogy.
By the way, hi-diddly-ho there Ned.
I hear you...:-)
by American Wife on Fri Nov 21, 2008 01:02 PM PSTI totally agree that she's not going to amount to anything. But I'm still saying that the FAR conservative right adores her. Not mainstream Republicans... you're right. But the far right, who've been saying all along that McCain wasn't conservative enough, voted for her in masses. Older white males... that was her target group and she had them wrapped around her little finger. Mind you... she's going to come under fire after each of her little interviews but don't dismiss the support she does have.
And those followers of Brit Brit and the other twit twit... they made them ZILLIONAIRES. Fans of the feeble minded... these people can be rabid my friend!
So... not intending an argument with you by any means, I still consider her very dangerous.
:-)
No AW that is not right!
by Derakhshandeh (not verified) on Fri Nov 21, 2008 11:46 AM PSTNo AW that is not right! Neither conservative nor any other kind of Republicans, other than her family, like her or think highly of her or take her seriously. If there ever was a doubt, the events of the past couple of months and the ongoing saga she keeps creating confirms it.
You know Britney Spears was on the news all the time, Paris Hilton was and now it is her turn. Of ALL the interviews she has given NONE were meant to take her seriously, only to give her a chance because when this was serious Republicans were afraid to let her speak and now we know why!
Anyway, I am 100% certain she is not going to amount to anything. Even if she makes herself a candidate, like Liberman did before her, she is not going to amount to anything. But you can believe in whatever you want to believe. Not that there is anything wrong with it!
Republicans have no other choice
by American Wife on Fri Nov 21, 2008 11:26 AM PSTbut to keep her front and center. She was the only positive thing they had during the campaign. YOU know and I know that she's a douchedizzle (thank Marge for that... I've been wanting to use it forever...lol). But the conservative right adored her. She'll be high profile for awhile then she'll disappear. I can't conceive that she'd be a serious contender in 2012.
Isn't that the truth about Dan Quayle...LOL
Didn't I say Sarah Palin is
by Derakhshandeh (not verified) on Fri Nov 21, 2008 10:38 AM PSTDidn't I say Sarah Palin is going to be thrown out of the bus like a sack of sud by the Republicans as soon as the election is over?!
It is funny when you hear people still say Palin has a shot at 2012 or "not counting it out"! Any and all news about Sarah Palin is satire or she damaging her own image.
I mean what is one good/serious/note worthy thing that she has done since she was introduced to national audiences?!
This is the gift that keeps giving, much better than Dan Quayle ever did. After 4 years of ridicule at her own hands I wonder what will be left of her!
You betcha!! Yeah I think we can give "You betcha" as her credit, that's all her's! Funny I keep hearing this phrase over and over again, much more that I ever heard it before!
Shocked
by American Wife on Fri Nov 21, 2008 09:57 AM PSTisn't the word. I just couldn't believe this when I watched it last night. It was almost surreal. I'm still trying to track down the "no worries" comment. Could she really be that stupid?
The first thing I said to husband while watching the jerk in the background was... can you say "Deliverance"? It was C R E E P Y!
Hey you Turkeys!
by Palin for President on Fri Nov 21, 2008 08:51 AM PSTGeuss what! Thanksgiving is just round the corner - BWL!
It's a distraction
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Fri Nov 21, 2008 07:20 AM PSTListen to her words. Seriously. It's rare to encounter a person who babbles on and on but does not actually say anything. What is she thinking? She's dumber than Homer.
Her sentences are so void of meaning. I don't understand anything she is conveying.
Look she's cute and stuff, but there has to be a standard. There has to be. You can't just say "small government, grow business" and expect to be embraced by public.
Yes, I heard it here first!
by News Goffer on Fri Nov 21, 2008 01:56 AM PSTPretty unbelievable. The guy in the back kept looking at the camera, not sure what to do. I think even he knew how stupid and how bad this was. He seemed like he just couldn't believe this woman would stand THERE and let him and his doings be in the background! On David's post I said this was like a Fellini movie, but I take that back, it was like a brand new genre of film, "The Docu-Stupidity" genre. Truth be told, I really want to forget her already. Let people of Alaska who did vote for her have to deal with her.
Comedy Club!
by bahram9821 on Thu Nov 20, 2008 08:45 PM PSTI wonder...
by Khar on Thu Nov 20, 2008 08:33 PM PSTIf she knows her own level of stupidity, I guess not!!!
Thanks Marge!
ouch!
by IRANdokht on Thu Nov 20, 2008 08:32 PM PSTI can't figure out which one the two blogs is worse! LOL
David's doesn't have sound so the last part of the interview and the horrifying closing statement goes unnoticed. On the other hand, listening to her voice is just as painful a torture as the scene behind her...
Give David credit, he noticed the scarf and knew exactly how much it's worth ;-)
