Busting the war/sanctions debate with real solutions

I am tired of the cycle of empty solutions proposed by the defense contractor cartels that define the USA/Israel/Iran policy debates. Each year, it's more war or more sanctions. Since Ahmadinejad won in 2005, it's been the same news headlines and threats. Nothing has been resolved. The US is useless. Israel ignores it, the USA does too, and Iran follows suit. Actually, everyone ignores the dumb UN. We've had more wars because of the UN, actually. On to direct diplomacy:

Hillary Clinton has failed to use the diplomatic agency that the tax payers pay for (she couldn't even manage to purchase American crystal last week for the embassies). She gave a 6 million dollar contract to a Swedish business during this flourishing economic time!). Her Iran platform in '08 was to "obliterate them [Iran]," for Israel, so we know where that's going. Hopefully she's gearing up for a 2012 run and will resign soon.

Therefore, I think the State Department needs to consider immigration reform for Iranians. This kind of exchange would be very helpful in turning over the regime. War and sanctions have proven time and time again to be failures that are costly and ineffective. Iranian banks are actually doing well. Iranians have the money to travel and even settle in the USA, so let them do it. Open up the visa system to permit more student and work visas.

Cut off the spigot of endless money and weapons to Israel, who only spits on America when it doesn't get what it wants. America is in big trouble financially, and war and sanctions are futile. The immigration reform debate shouldn't just be about illegal aliens from Mexico. It must include Iran too.

I agree with Fousul Bashi when he says:

by Bavafa on

"However, I TOTALLY DISAGREE with you that they are always JEWS who act as spies or provocateurs. They could be anyone, they could even come from a Muslim background!! Not all Jews support Israel, and not all Israelis are 'evil', many of them are there by an accident of fate and are born in families and are caught in loyalties, like the rest of us."

And mainly refrained from commenting on your post as a result which I should not have.

I strongly believe in keeping the religion out of politics, knowing well that much of the politics is driven and supported in the name of religion, this goes for Muslims, Jews and Christians. Nevertheless, we should not follow the that path which is wrong.

My intention was not to say all jews are spies. And as far as I remember never said all of them. But it seems anyone who tries to discredit us could some how be linked to them.

It is not the 'Jews'

by Fouzul Bashi on

Amirkabear4U, I agree with you that there certainly are people who masquerade as Muslims and promote certain policies.  Ahmadi-Nedjad is accused of being one ;)  However, I TOTALLY DISAGREE with you that they are always JEWS who act as spies or provocateurs.  They could be anyone, they could even come from a Muslim background!!  Not all Jews support Israel, and not all Israelis are 'evil', many of them are there by an accident of fate and are born in families and are caught in loyalties, like the rest of us.

Having said that, I agree that you can't take people at face value and more importantly it is crucial not to fall for a black and white division of people into this and that ...

MOOSvaPIAZ please comply with the sanctions or face war

by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on

LOL That is the point of Fraud's wishes. All people who want sanctions are dishonest. They understand, if they understand how futile sanctions are, that the point of them is to end up with war.

Sanctions don't work. War is profitable.

Notice what he wrote to Moos's comment. "Count me out of hopefully." More like "definitely!"

MOOSIRvaPIAZ - AIRTIGHT SANCTIONS ON MEIN FRAUD ;)

Dear MOOSIRvaPIAZ

Please join us in not giving this AIPAC servant the credit of reading or responding to its murderous propaganda.  Let's boycott him.  There is nothing to be learnt from discussions with him.   Thanks mate.

To all Iran dost:

by Bavafa on

Just be aware that he has always tried and will try to ignites emotion by his illogical and warmongering messages. Do not give into temptation as he is not to have a dialogue with a voice of reason. He is to drive one message and one message only and that is "air tight sanction" that should and will result in war on our home land. Zionist and neocons are excellent in this strategy, that is to make up any nonsense message, keep repeating it till it becomes the accepted fact.

Mein Fraud's are not the only blogs on the iC, fortunately!  There are many blogs that don't get any clicks or very few.  If we sanctions the Fraudster, first of all he becomes kheet! :)  And secondly, as Capt says and Marge has done, we can write our own or contribute to other blogs on the issue of sanctions and war.  Thirdly, nothing to stop you from having fun with his memory on other blogs ;))  Contributing to Fraud's blogs gives him a credit that he does not deserve.  He is neither a knowledgeable nor a well-intentioned person arguing something.  He is a total waste of time and should be teated as such.

Sanctioning tight-tight blogs on IC

by Mardom Mazloom on

stands in the way of the "click-making policy" of this site. Each featured tight-tight blogs of Mein Fraüd attracts hundreds of clicks - if there are some comments on these blogs - just because people are curious to read the comments. At the end of the month, these clicks are useful to attract sponsors.

Now, why would you like to stop this lucrative affair? First, it wouldn't be as funny as it is to answer Mein Fraüd and second if we don't have our sponsors we have to pay IC by our own at the end of each year. Now make your mind: you have the choice between having fun and not paying IC by your own or the inverse? Na bishookh what do you prefer?

We MUST unite

by capt_ayhab on

Everyone who is against starvation and misery on Iran by the means of sanctions and who ever is against destructive and catastrophic illegal war against Iran should submit on regular basis one form or another of anti war campaign in this site and any other that they contribute.

I have been trying my best here on IC  and current.com

You all got my support in sanctioning Fred's threads. We should not give him the attention.

I knew that I was not alone about this disgrace to journalism. Thanks for reiterating my point about him.

Neither Hillary nor Joe Biden work for our president any longer. I so feel sorry that he has so many of the puppets working against him. From repub, to bulldog to rest.

Marge, I totally agree on sanctioning Fraüd ;)

by Fouzul Bashi on

Airtight sanctions on Fraüd's blogs and spread this round  on each and every blog.  Then the only one's who would crap in that bog would be the Fraüdsters ;)

Mehrdad, support your sanctions on Israeli goods 100%

Boycott Israel and the propagandist of this manse regime, the Zionist, both here and else where. I have refused to purchase any thing that benefit the Zionist whether by proxy or directly and I will boycott their propaganda here on IC as well. Lets not give him the little attention he strives to get.

War drums are hurting my ear drums

by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on

We spent triple the amount of time (even more if you count the 1990s) debating the health care bill that passed last night than we did on wars into Iraq and Afghanistan. Kill joy!

The war on Iran will be much more dirty. I'm already seeing baloney reports about Iran and the Taliban teaming up. Tell them about sunnis hanging Shia, "you are a lefty lap dog."

By the way, there used to be a user here on IC named lefty lap dog. I wonder if that was FRED? He uses that phrase a lot. MinaDadvar was mentioning this problem (in general, not Fraud) yesterday in JJ's blog.

Captain, Fareed Zacharaiah is a very dishonest man. He is truly a disgrace to journalism. When he was interviewing an Iranian government official about the summer protests, he denied the IRI guy's claim that the USA gave weapons of mass destruction to Saddam to kill Iranians and Kurds - the fillers of Saddam's mass graves that Hannity still won't stop exploiting to make his millions on Fox.

The world sucks! Fareed Zacharaiah is a joke.  Fareed won't reply to your email. He will give you a brush off, if he gives a reply at all. I'm so disappointed in him.

I'm disgusted by Hillary Clinton (she still works for the USA, right?) groveling to Israel today about "security."

No War No Sanction

by capt_ayhab on

When same kind of war drum beating was going about Iraq, the world and nation sat silent and media failed, with all its glory to  call the WAR PARTY, NeoCon's and AIPAC on their blatant lies and deceptions.

Same people have started the same misinformation and war campaign about Iran. And the media still in their stupefying sleep. So as long as responsible and peace loving people do not stop challenging them, they will keep on their BIG LIE till the bombs start dropping.

I was watching the puppet boy Farid Zacharia and his propaganda platform show called GPS, and I was deeply angered to hear HIM  refer to Iran as Existential Threat to Israel. Someone needs to tell this puppet boy that those terms are  used by Bibi and the war mongering AIPAC and Likud party. No responsible journalist should keep reaping the Ultra Right war party's talking point.

These are the extend of problem, irresponsible talking heads like Farid Zacharia and his ilk.

P/S He is yet to answer my email that I sent him yesterday.
