Rise of anti-Semitism, sure outcome

The only certain result of Israeli savage assault on Gaza Strip would be the rise of anti-Semitism around the world. With Israel, and many Zionists working hard to equate Zionism with Judaism, and defending Israeli crimes as that of a Jewish only state representing Jewish values, the savagery of Israeli state unfortunately would be translated around the world with savagery of the Jews. It would make Jews and Jewish centers around the world less safe. This would be the sole certain outcome of the Gaza assault, similar to what happened in the war of Lebanon. What other outcomes might be there? Let's see:

Ehud Barak might be dreaming about a personal boost in internal Israeli politics by the Gaza mayhem, but if the Israeli death increases, even he would lose on his dream. Israel itself would lose big by any criterion which defines an Israeli  "victory." For Hamas, the mere survival will clearly be victory, and survive it will! Just like Hezbollah did and got stronger in Lebanon.

Israel can hit hundreds of targets in Gaza, can kill hundreds of women and children in Gaza in the name of killing "Hamas," but Israel will not be able to destroy either Hamas or its rocket firing capabilities. They will spring right back! And, that is the single criterion that would define an Israeli defeat. Other outcomes of this vicious assault:

--Rise of anti-Semitism throughout the world as people who identify Zionism with Judaism (thanks to Israeli propaganda) will resent Israeli atrocities,

--The more widespread hatred of the US around the world since it blocked again a cease fire similar to its futile blocking of a cease fire in Lebanon war,

--the weakening of pro-Israel groups in the US in their futile attempt at defending Israeli crimes as "self-defense" at the expense of America's image around the world,

.....in short  the world got one historical step closer to the inevitable demise of the criminal and illegitimate State of Israel. Pathetic Israeli  genocide won't be able to defy its historical destiny for long, no matter how many innocent it kills and calls it, "the only language they understand."

Dear IRANdokht

by Darius Kadivar on

In your opinion Where do you think Hamas got its military support then ? Out of the Blue ? ...

Yes the IRI is clearly responsible in undermining the Moderate Palestinian Authority of Mahmoud Abbas and before him Yasser Arafat for good reason. They Never forgave Yasser Arafat for betraying their Trust and Siding with Saddam Hussein during the Iran Iraq War and the MKO:

//iranian.com/main/blog/darius-kadivar/pictory-massoud-maryam-rajavi-greets-plo-leader-yasser-arafat-year

Hamas was created back in 1987 and was against the OSLO accords that were initiated by the moderate and pragmatic elements of the PLO and Yasser Arafat in particular who wanted to give up on terrorism and gain respectability and international recognition for his Organization.

Now does acknowledging this fact mean that one supports the killings taking place in Gaza or that Israel should not be firmly asked to halt this disastrous military operation?

Iran is Very happy by what is taking place in Gaza, do you think that they do not see the benefit they can take from it ?

Fine if it fits you to think I support the killings of poor innocent civilians. I thought you were more intelligent than these Pro IRI morons here ...

Dear ghalam-doon,

by Jaleho on

you said:

"You are right. It is the policies of Israel that drive people toward anti-Semitism. But we shouldn’t fool ourselves. It is the support of the Jews which sustains Israel."

My point is precisely the danger of  lumping "jews" like that! In fact, there are more Christian Zionists in the US who are rabid supporters of Israeli crimes, more so than most Israelis inside Israel. Without tens of millions of them, Israel would not have been able to commit all these crimes with political impunity, nor would it be able to survive financially.

There are also many many jews who are in the forefront of fighting evils of Zionism, for a good reason: most people don't like atrocious crimes committed in their names. Despite the garbage that people like Zion or Mazloom spread being drunk with arrogance of temporary power afforded by the biggest super power today, most jews like the rest of humanity dislike bloodshed in particular when done in their names.

It is true that many Jews are more brainwashed than others in false raison d'etre for the state of Israel, but we should also understand that most also come with the memory of REAL anti-Semitism throughout history. They are learning like many others in particular the American people the real story behind Israel, and they are fighting its evils shoulder to shoulder with others.

Once I provided a list of numerous honorable Jewish organizations in a debate with "IranianJew" in my other blog. Rather than re-typing it, please refer to my post to him in page 2 of this blog:

Iranian Reader

Ron Paul blunder

by Iranian Reader on

With all due respect to Ron Paul who is right on many things and certainly has more honesty and balls than most people in US congress, he also reiterates some ridiculous unhistorical nonsense. He says that the conflict between Arabs and Jews is an internal matter going back hundreds if not thousands of years and "we're caught up in the middle of it."

WHAT...?!

I definitely appreciate his speedy acknowledgement of the recent bloodbath unleashed by Israel but I am really convinced that telling the truth, and nothing but the historical truth, is the only approach to take. This fable of Arabs and Jews having been at it for eternity is absolute schlock.

Here's what former congresswoman Cynthia McKinney has been up to -- those of us who voted for her instead of Gorgeous Barry are very proud of her:  //rawstory.com/news/2008/Cynthia_McKinneys_boat_rammed_by_Israeli_1230.html

Gaza relief boat carrying Cynthia McKinney rammed by Israelis.

An Israeli patrol boat intercepted a yacht carrying three tons of medical supplies to Gaza in international waters early on Tuesday as it attempted to run an Israeli blockade. According to those on board, the patrol boat accused the relief vessel of being involved in terrorist activity and then deliberately rammed it, forcing it to return to port in Lebanon.

Among the yacht's 16 passengers were doctors, journalists, and human rights activists, including former Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA). McKinney spoke to CNN from Lebanon, telling John Roberts, "Our boat was rammed three times, twice in the front and once on the side."

McKinney described as "outright disinformation" a statement by the Israeli Foreign Ministry which called the charge that the ramming was deliberate "absurd." According to the Israeli spokesman, the boat was struck as it attempted to outmaneuver the Israeli vessel.

The Free Gaza movement, which sponsored the relief mission, explained in a press release, "This is the sixth boat that the Free Gaza movement has sent ... in a symbolic effort to end the seige of Gaza. These are small boats, and they do not cross into Israeli waters at all. This Israeli attack on the boat, which occurred in international waters, cannot be described as 'self defense' by any stretch of delusional imagination."

"Our mission was a peaceful mission to deliver medical supplies," McKinney told CNN, "and our mission was thwarted by the Israelis -- the aggressiveness of the Israeli military."

McKinney then appealed to President-elect Obama to "say something, please, about the humanitarian crisis that is being experienced right now by the people of Gaza." She referred to Martin Luther King's description of the United States as "the greatest purveyor of violence on the planet" and noted that "the weapons that are being used by Israel are weapons that are being supplied by the United States."

McKinney has been known for her opposition to Israeli policies, which is blamed in part for her loss of her Congressional seat. According to the Washington Post, "In 2002, two Democrats in Congress with records of voting against Israel's interests -- Reps. Earl Hilliard of Alabama and Cynthia McKinney of Georgia -- faced primary opponents who received substantial support from Jewish donors. A majority of AIPAC board members gave to either McKinney's challenger or Hilliard's or both. Hilliard and McKinney lost."

IRANdokht

Dear Darius

by IRANdokht on

What do you mean "Iran's clear and equal responsibility"? Clear to whom?

You think IRI is as guilty as Israel? Did IR bomb anyone that I am not aware of? Did IR throw chemical bombs on civilians? Even when defending Iran against Saddam, IRI did not resort to chemical weapons.I am not defending IRI and I am very outspoken about what they do to violate human rights, but to say that IR is clearly and equally responsible for the crimes of Israel, I am sorry... I can't agree with you!

Sorry DK, when it comes to crimes against humanity, I don't check the victims birth certificates or religious affiliations. This is not political, it's not religious, it's a HUMAN issue!

If you want to talk about the suicide bombing, then lets talk about the bulldozing of people's orchards and homes, the illegal occupation and the blockade etc...

Otherwise lets stick to the fact that Israel is bombing civilians, hospitals, schools... and bombing the civilians should not be tolerated!

Thank you

OIC snobs Iranian regime

by BIG LOL (not verified) on

The following is a news dispatch from Iran's official news agency Fars. It is obvious from this report that an overwhelming majority of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) members have ignored Iran's call for an emergency meeting and instead have gone to Jeddah in response to the Saudi invitation. This explain the absence of Iranian foreign minister at that gathering.

Muslim states cold on Gaza talks
Sat, 03 Jan 2009 00:55:37 GMT

A senior aide to President Ahmadinejad says only eight Islamic states had voiced their readiness to attend an emergency meeting on Gaza.

The Iranian president's senior advisor, Mojtaba Samareh-Hashemi pointed to follow-up efforts made by Iran to bring together the member states of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) in an emergency meeting on the crisis in the Gaza Strip.

"In contacts we had [with the OIC member states], only eight countries said that they will attend the meeting," Fars news agency quoted him as saying.

Samareh Hashemi's comments come as the Saudi newspaper, Arab News, has reported that foreign ministers of the 57-member OIC will attend a meeting in Jeddah on Saturday to discuss the Gaza crisis.

To be anti-Semitic

by ghalam-doon on

If there were surveys among the Jews who live in Europe or North America, the majority would support Israel. Have you been to the Jewish neighborhood of your town? Have you seen the signs, posters and constant fund-raisings in support of Israel? Jews are tirelessly working to support Israel, both financially and politically.  Do you really think if there wasn't  so much support coming from the Jews who live in Europe or North America, Israel could really carry out its policies in the Middle-East?

You are right. It is the policies of Israel that drive people toward anti-Semitism. But we shouldn’t fool ourselves. It is the support of the Jews which sustains Israel.

by Jaleho on

Thanks. Ron Paul hits the issue at its core again!

Actually, the mere fact that people like Ron Paul became so popular in such a short time, got so many grass root support and even a decent number of votes although to become a viable candidate here you need deep pocket of corporation.....all indicate an inevitable  changing tide in America.

Ten or fifteen years ago, books like that of Walt and Mearsheimer would not be on top of international best sellers, it wouldn't even be published in the US; Carter's book with "Apartheid and Israel" in the title would not become another best seller; you didn't have so many people calling CSAPN disgusted with their tax dollars financing Israeli brutalities. In normal times, average American is too wealthy to even bother with foreign policy. But, when the war squeezes their pocket, as in Vietnam war or the current war and economic crisis, Americans ask the best questions and become penny-wise.

That is why the ensuing rise in anti-Semitism that I am affraid of, and is being ignited by Israeli policies and its blind supporters, and is inflamed by idiots like that Rabbi Eliyahu who literally tries to equate Zionists crimes with Judaism, would ironically find one of its largest home in the country who enabled Israel the most: US of A!!

That is when people like Mazloom or Zion who are now mad at people like us who defend the underdog du jour, would turn for support!

To clarify the verses for

by Jimmy (not verified) on

To clarify the verses for you:
Read carefully the verse from torah, as you see it resembles verse 22 , al-nisa of your Quran.
interestingly enought there is a difference. In arab version the women who are married but now enslaved or captured in war are yours but in jewish version it says eliminate the women who have slept with others, so only keep the virgins, and that is exactly what it means. So that is sickness of the judaism. This is why so many israeli engineers go abroad and try to delour girls of othe countries. the concept of virgin girls comes from hebrew scriptures and arabs only copied the ideas.

have a good day

P.S. I for sure can never be a jew or muslim or christian because islam condons the other two and christianlty condons judaism.

Mr. Jahanshah Javid's Not So Secret Crush

by Anonymous Observer on

I know that this comment will be deleted as well, but I'll give it a shot.  I have been commenting on this site a lot, and for a while now, and one thing I have noticed is that this "Jaleho" character is bullet proof when it comes to comments.  She can say, and get away with whetever she wants, but God forbid anyone making the slightest negative comment about her, and the post will be immediately deleted.

While Ms. Jaleho can tell someone that he is "kissing israel's ass" and just on this thread calling me an "irrelevant fly with his irrelavent nonsense" and saying that Mehdi Mazloom is "constantly kisses their [Christians'] hind"--when she is compared to IRI's secret police, the comment is immediately deleted.  By the way, in response to her comment about "ass kissing" (which wasn't even directed to me), I flagged her comment for foul language and posted a comment saying that she was kissing Ahmadinejad's ass.  My comment was deleted, and hers was not!!!! I have also noticed other people complain about this as well.

I have never seen anyone on this site which so much protection.  This only leads me to one conclusion, and that is that Mr. Javid has a secret crush on Jaleho and because of that he has issued his fatwa to delete all negative comments about her.  In light of Jaleho's conduct itself, nothing else explains this immediate deletion of negative comments.

By the way Jaleho, you still have not answered the essential question (which, instead of answering you managed to get deleted again).  here, I'll re-post it:

Assuming, as you suggest, that Moses was a pedophile, and that pedophilia is authorized in Judaism (for the sake of argument), as it is in Islam, how does that justify Mohamed's pedophilia?

Now, this time, instead of running crying to Mr. Javid asking him to delete the comment, show a bit of courage (you know the meaning of the word courage, right?  Courage, as in courage of the civilian Palestinian population in Gaza that you pretend to care about while they withstand bombs and missiles and you hide from a question) and answer this question.

by Mammad on

Since you told us about the raging debate in Israel about what is bad and what is good about the Old Testament (and I have no reason to disbelieve you), can you also tell us what Israeli settlers in the West Bank - those who could not make it in in Brooklyn, Russia, and elsewhere, so they went to the WB, stole the Palestinians' lands, and made a comfortable living for themselves there - discuss when it comes to the same subjects, or Muslims, and Palestinians? You want to tell us that they are also the sophisticated Jews that you are telling us?

Can you tell us how the political far right in Israel speaks about Muslims and Palestinians to see whether it is racist or not? You want to tell us that they are also sophisticated Jews?

What is the use of rejecting passages from the Old Testament, if one talks about the Palestinians and Muslims in the most racist way? If one denies that Palestinian people actually exist? If one talks about "transferring" them to another nation - i.e., ethnic cleansing?

Why should we even go that far? Harrison Ford, the great Jewish actor that I used to like (until I read the following quote), said "F... others, we are the chosen people."

And, unlike what you claim, many great current and past Islamic scholars have rejected literal interpretation of Quranic teachings, and have presented enlightening, modern, and forward looking interpretations. All you have to do is a small-scale search.

I call it the way I see it. I don't beat around the bush. Jaleho

Quite the contrary Mazloom!

by Jaleho on

In fact, the Israelis more than any other group use the archaic old testament and Talmudic myths as guidlines for their PRESENT lives!

The entire land theft from Palestinians of course is based on the Jewish God promising land of others to the Jews in exchange for a little piece of Children of Israel's penis , I am sure you wouldn't need me to provide those stories from Torah for you :-)

And the Israeli politicians and rabbies TODAY use the savage messages of Old Testament to corroborate the genocide of Palestinians.

As much as you tried again to divert the attention from the grave brutalities of Israelis in Gaza which is the subject here, you inadvertently slipped!! In fact, here is a 2007 verdict by Israel's cheif Rabbi making killing of civilians in Gaza as kosher according to Jewish religious laws, and it is sad to see the Israeli brutes actually doing exactly the same thing a year later!!

//www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1180527966693&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull

"Eliyahu ruled that there was absolutely no moral prohibition against the indiscriminate killing of civilians during a potential massive military offensive on Gaza aimed at stopping the rocket launchings.

The letter, published in Olam Katan [Small World], a weekly pamphlet to be distributed in synagogues nationwide this Friday, cited the biblical story of the Shechem massacre (Genesis 34) and Maimonides' commentary (Laws of Kings 9, 14) on the story as proof texts for his legal decision.

According to Jewish war ethics, wrote Eliyahu, an entire city holds collective responsibility for the immoral behavior of individuals. In Gaza, the entire populace is responsible because they do nothing to stop the firing of Kassam rockets.

...(read these racist parts from article, difficult to copy!)

Eliyahu could not be reached for an interview. However, Eliyahu's son, Shmuel Eliyahu, who is chief rabbi of Safed, said his father opposed a ground troop incursion into Gaza that would endanger IDF soldiers. Rather, he advocated carpet bombing the general area from which the Kassams were launched, regardless of the price in Palestinian life.

"If they don't stop after we kill 100, then we must kill a thousand," said Shmuel Eliyahu. "And if they do not stop after 1,000 then we must kill 10,000. If they still don't stop we must kill 100,000, even a million. Whatever it takes to make them stop."

In the letter, Eliyahu quoted from Psalms. "I will pursue my enemies and apprehend them and I will not desist until I have eradicated them."
