Ms. Kalhor is the first Iranian woman in Winter Olympics history. 

The Women's Giant Slalom event takes place at 10am Vancouver time today, and results are posted live on

Wow! their rankings are almost the same.......I concentrate on watching figure-skating/ice-dancing and I watched the entire opening ceremony! I hope they can do better next time......

I only know for Porya Saveh-Semshaki got 69th in the Men's giant slalom

What happened to the 3 male Iranian skiers? What are their rankings? I am hoping Iranian girls will be allowed to figure-skate one day. I have watched all the figure-skating competitions every night until 12:00 am. Last night, a Turkish girl skated to Turkish music, but it is kind of similar to Persian music.

She ended up 68 but she ended LAST in those who finished!

She is 68 (21.74 seconds behind 1st place) but that's because 15 did not finish and 1 was disqualified. 

Oh well.  This was Giant slalom, maybe she does better in Slalom.  Also, this was the 1st run of Giant slalom. They also have to do a 2nd run and then they add them both.

She may do better in 2nd run and her total may get her better than 68th place finish. 

SUCKS TO CANADA!

I was watching the match, she wasn't present there.

Any news, anyone?

Well I just got that she finished 69th........

Not bad for a young champion's first time.

She will do better next time, I'm sure.
