A distant calling......

I can close my eyes and picture my feet sinking deep into something soft. Is it snow or desert sand ??I can picture smells from different meals based on ancient recipes and flowers that does`nt bloom where I live: in Scandinavia. I hear new tones and languages whispering in the wind, accompanied with music twisted in rhytms that excites my heart. I am told new histories, that took place a long long time ago and I see faces that though unknown yet seems so familiar.

I have recently had a few doors opened to the Persian culture, and I feel as if I had opened a treasure box. I try a lot of new recipes in my kitchen, which I for most parts find on the internet. I sit in front of my PC in order to listen to an electronic voice and repeating the farsi words coming out through my loudspeaker. I carefully write the persian alphabet and I am quite proud of my results!!

I have been to other forums than this. But I was surprised to see peoples reactions if i.e. an iranian would post a thread. Not many will look into his contributions and see what his message is. In fact it did`nt take many posts before the thread got out of line and all that was discussed was US/Israel contra Iran.... And the efforts of the author soon drowned in pityful remarks, those I will not repeat here.I was upset and sorry at the same time, but luckily this author had intelligence and witt, he gave up the thread but at least not his opinions.

I think I have found a treasure, which I want to dedicate a big amount of time to discover. And can`t help being dragged towards. Because I hear this distant calling. Have you ever experienced a calling???

Dear Anonymous Underground person...

by KitGilas on

Thank you so much for taking your time to comment my blog :)

Having made mistakes?? Well if so I apologize to any it may concern!!That was not my intention at all.

You see, I do not write here in order to defend, fight or insult anyone. My only purpose for being here, is to broaden my world and meet other people in a very friendly way.

From my point of view, we all face different options to choose our path. It can be difficult from time to time, things happens in your life that you can`t controle.

Sometimes that leads to choosing the wrong path, which unfortunately can lead (at least) some (not all) people in the wrong direction. And that is very sad.. The choice of direction might be influated from the friends and family close the person. Someone who in a caring way questions the choice. And may have luck in making the person think twice about important decisions. But unfortunately it does`nt always help.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend - it must be hurtful for you! I`ll pray that she comes back to you, safe and in good health.

Once again thank you for your comment - Nice to meet you - Take care my friend...  Kind regards from Kit

Nobody is worried

by Anonymous Underground Person (not verified) on

Well Kit, I have to tell you, you’ve made a couple of mistakes already. To begin with, when you say, “I am not THAT lost”, you’re assuming those people were lost at all when they started here. Believe me when those people started blogging they knew exactly where they were. One is a professor with knowledge of eleven languages, the other one has an advance degree related to human psyche and involved in scientific research, so those people were not lost to begin with. On the contrary they were very confident about what they were doing. And then, there was a third one that I forgot to mention before; she was a peacemaker, an angel, saved a lot of souls, including mine. But, where is she now? Who knows! She might now be trying to save her own soul from insanity. Thank God (if there is one) you've come to join us at a time when unregistered user’s comments go through the Editor’s censorship filter first before they are published. There was a time, we call it Wild Wild West, when all comments were published without any censorship, for example if in that era someone made fun of your nostrils, it would get published. You should’ve seen us back then to get a good feel for what we’re capable of.

So anyway back to what I was saying, so that was your first mistake assuming they were lost and you’re not, implying you know better. Your next mistake, assuming someone is worried about your well being. Nobody is worried; people here passed being worried a long time ago, not about themselves or anyone else. They have toughened up and thickened their skins a while back. Now they know how to work underground, do their own things, come and go as they please, don’t need to be accountable for anything they write. Cuss and curse as they please knowing full well that there is a system in place that watches over their behavior, so nobody is worried.

Believe me, you’ll have an adventure of a lifetime here.

Hi back..

by KitGilas on

Thanks for your kind and serious words. I do understand the message....

But trust me, I am not that lost. Discussing my private life in public?? Never.. I know how things work in an internet forum.

And I do have my own life too, not obsessed by any means. But sadly some people end in a wrong turn.

I`m just a curious person, also interested in astronomy - psychology and a lot of other stuff. So thanks for the words - you do not have to worry. :-)

Do have a nice day!!

We welcome you with open arms, ...

by Welcoming Committee Chairperson (not verified) on

“Have you ever experienced a calling?” Well no, but a little over a year ago we also had another woman, a foreigner, ‘yek zan’e kharaji’, who had heard a calling and dedicated her entire life to this website. She was equal to an encyclopedia of all things Iranian, from history to literature to sociology, psychology, arts,…you name it she knew it. Needless to say at the end she attempted to commit suicide. And then there was this other woman who started a blog about her personal life and openly discussed her failing marriage. Needless to say she only lasted three months. And then there were many others who are not with us anymore.

Not to scare you, but to let you know right off the bat there are a lot of weird things going on here, as everywhere else, that you don’t know nothing about yet but in time you will. As nice as we are, we also like to torment others, we crush and shred and purée. We also fight, cat fight that is. Despite their vigorous denial there is big competition among a lot women in this part of the cyber wilderness, among men too. We like to mark our territories with our urine, and we are venomous.

So, we welcome you with open arms, but please be careful my dear.

Mem nunem....

by KitGilas on

I am very well aware of the conditions in Iran today..

What I see and what I want to discover is, probably what many many people are missing and feeling pain about having lost.

I pray that changes will happen, so that the true persian spirit will arise again, for joy in many hearts....

But remember, a lot of things are still present today.

Thanks so much for your comment.

Kit :-)

welcome to the lost persian culture. . We "iranian" have been looking for it in last 30 years. we don't know anymore or anything about it only to carry the name. if you found it please teach us. A country of 70 million people would be thankful.
