Khamenei is speaking about the upcoming parliamentary elections on March 14, 2008 which candidates began registering for this past weekend. He says that Dr. Mossadeq which was a "mardomi" government at time dissolved Majles twice, yet Jomhuree Islamee has never done so despite all the states of emergencies and enemies plots. What do you guys think about that his argument?

So what do you guys think? Should people participate in elections or boycott them? Last time many people boycotted the presidential elections and we ended up with Ahmadinejad. Not that Khatami was much better, but the political and social climate in Iran was much more relaxed.

Also, do you guys think these Majles elections are important? Do you think "reformists" are going to win? Do you also believe what the western media says that these elections are a "referendum" on Ahmadinejad?

Re: Agha Haq

You are the proof of my argument in the last post. The elections are for a show. A show to fool people like yourself into thinking that we have, oh, a democracy of some sort for the first time in Iran's history.

And you buy into that? Besides, you are false. I could claim that it is not the first time Iran experiences democracy. I could claim that we had a democracy during the shah. The members of majles were VOTED into office. Of course, that was just for a show, we all know that. How stupid would it sound though? The only difference between that stupid democracy and this one, is that the directors of the show are much more qualified today than in the previous regime.

While the IRI has taken away the most basic of human rights away from its citizens, down to what clothes to wear, it is sad to see ignorants like you who buy into this show. No wonder we are where we are.

You say that there is no such a thing as elections in IRI, but remember there was no president in the history of Iran before IRI. There were no national elections in the history of the country before IRI in the way they exist now. Let's say candidates are screened, ok. Then why did the most leftist candidate Mostafa Moin only recieve 10% of the votes in last election? If people dont believe in the system or the process why do they continue to engage in it? That is the majority. Why not boycott it? After all, in Tehran only 30% voted last time. So get the country to be like the rest of North Tehran. But you can't and thats the problem. You dont want to admit the reality.

And the site doesnt need to humiliate the Pahlavi's, they did that on their own. It's funny that you even care about it doing that? Only a SHAHEE would care about that. And Mossadeq was a good man. I saw NOTHING BAD about him on that site. Prove me wrong. IRI front? Come on man. you give IRI too much credit. why would they create a site like that? you FEAR TRUTH. You say IRI site as if thats meant to deter people away from it. People who hate IRI still watch Jaam e Jaam everyday and watch the TV serials produced by IRI. so what? its the govt running the country today. we have to deal with them no matter what. are u not going to get a passport because its issued by IRI? stop being silly. its same here. we may not like bush but we take advantage of many government benefits and institutions. get real jamshid.

What do we think?

by jamshid on

We think IranNegah.com is an IRI front with the goal of humiliating Mosadegh, Bakhtiar and the Pahalvis, and anyone else who may be against IRI's ideology.

We also think the concept of "IRI reformists" is a deceiving and diverting attempts to keep the poor people busy with some sort of food while IRI continues raping them.

Furthermore, we think that there is no such thing as an "election" in the IRI. It is just a show. They present a few candidates chosen from among their own ranks, and they say to people: Vote! It is as though I pick my cousin, my brother, my uncle and myself, and then say: Vote!

Bullshit. Who do you take us for?

And you MaryamTabrizi are either an ignorant imbecile or an IRI pawn.
