I agree with you 100% that:
**************************
....... the only, courageous Iranians, are the ones, protesting on the streets of Iran........ No one is, compared to what people are going through in Iran.
*************************
Actually, in your original blog with the same topic, I wrote that the bravest people are Iranians.
thank you!

P/S Ms. Dadvar, Excellent choices all around.

by minadadvar on Thu Mar 25, 2010 11:49 AM PDTI think you have a great idea. I am not sure, if JJ is willing to do the extra work to put it into practice.
The only people whom, I have found, consistently, civil, are you, Abarmard, Yolanda, ebi and Ari. There might be others, whom I do not know about. But, Irandokht, is certainly not one of them. She has frequently insulted many people (me included). I should add that most of these attacks have been unprovoked.
I understand that you think Jaleho is courageous. In my opinion, the only, courageous Iranians, are the ones, protesting on the streets of Iran. That is why, I did not want to have "Most Courageous" catagory. No one is, compared to what people are going through in Iran.
Thanks for your input and your suggestions.
I might have time to post a blog about our weaknesses. It would be interesting to see, how that goes.
Need to leave now. I will be back to check other messages, later this evening.
mina jan - a suggestion
by Niloufar Parsi on Thu Mar 25, 2010 08:14 AM PDTit's such an eye-opener to see how people view each other. i am really surprised by some of the views and comments, though not all (and i don't mean just about me).
but i have a suggestion for all the readers, and JJ in particular: why don't we find a way of making this a regular feature? it must be possible for people to give feedback like this more anonymously.
and btw, how about including Irandokht above? to me she is one of the most likable and civil contributors.
And - i know this will be unpopular - what about Jaleho? If nothing else, she has shown a lot of courage and is real too.
LOL Phantom
by David ET on Thu Mar 25, 2010 08:16 AM PDTIf it makes you feel better just create your own list and include yourself and all of us who did not make it to this one !:))
and regardless of the seat location , be happy that at least you and Farah will be in the Shazdeh's plane to Iran, no way he will even let me in ;-)

by SamSamIIII on Wed Mar 24, 2010 05:06 PM PDTI think your blog got all stressed out due to all these acceptance speeches & academy trafic that it ran away from the 1st page & is now takin a nap in backstage(2nd page) or just may be they fooled you into editing your blog which automaticaly will drop it from featured column ;). Any ways, using steroids I got 3 gold medals, cash reward or a free Psychotherapy session?..is this a pilot psycho analysis project of yours online to analyze reactions? ::)).
Nevertheless , thanks so much that you choose me, a non-iranian persian speaker along side so many great patriots. Much obliged!.
Cheers!!!

Yolanda, divaneh, Anahid, Faramarz
by minadadvar on Wed Mar 24, 2010 04:16 PM PDTDear Yolanda, there are very few who flag down, their own commet. I am not surprized, that you are one of them.
divaneh Jan, it was my pleasure. Happy Norooz.
Anahid Azziz, I did not see anything wrong with your comment. I agree with you regarding PW. I have not seen any posting by him, recently.
Faramarz, if you are the same as Faramarz Fateh, then I put your name down as 'most patriotic". How is your speech coming along? LOL.
I second Anahid on Persian Westender
by divaneh on Wed Mar 24, 2010 04:16 PM PDTPW is for sure one of the most creative writers and a must read contributor. Another missing star is Aghadarioush.

Dear readers, mitranorthcal and I have special bond
by Anahid Hojjati on Wed Mar 24, 2010 03:59 PM PDTOne of the readers complained to me that my comment about who is funnier between me and mitranorthcal was mean. Just to clarify, that comment was tongue in cheek. Mitra and I are friends and she knows that I meant it as a joke. By the way, thanks to all readers who voted for me and OMG, I just remembered. Persian westender is one of most creative on IC. Sorry pw if I forgot to mention you earlier. I do really like many of pw's stories and poems.
Heartfelt thanks
by divaneh on Wed Mar 24, 2010 03:50 PM PDTto all the kind people who mentioned my name here. It was the best new year's present. The list includes all my favourite contributors (although in my view some are not in the correct categories), and I sincerely hope that we can see even more of their valuable contributions. Thanks Mina.
Thanks David
by Farah Rusta on Wed Mar 24, 2010 03:37 PM PDTYou are a very good judge of character :) excpet when it comes to Mousavi and Pahalvi :) - Have a happy new year David. I may not agree with some of your ideas but I know you always mean well.
Souri Khanom
my brief list contained people of different political persuasions, some diagonally opposed to mine, but I think they all deserve a mention. By the way if I didn't include many others, yourself for example, it was because they are already mentioned in the previous blog by Ms Dadvar.
Mina Khanom
Thank you for your good work and careful observation.
Happy Nou ruz to you all.

It is all Souri and Monda's Fault!
by Faramarz on Wed Mar 24, 2010 02:06 PM PDTMina Khanoom,
I dearly love everyone on the list and I am 100% in support of it!
If it wasn't for Souri and Monda that put my name on the list, everybody would have got along just fine.
This should teach them a lesson not to nominate me anymore! I am working on my acceptance speech right now.

by yolanda on Wed Mar 24, 2010 01:54 PM PDTHi! Mina,
Thank you for your kindness! OMG! I need to live up to the image of a civil and friendly person.....that is a lot of pressure! LOL!!!!! Be very honest with you.....I flagged my own posts many times 'cause I feel the posts were bad and not friendly enough...
please take care!
Dear Farah Rusta
by David ET on Wed Mar 24, 2010 01:18 PM PDTThank you! You sure deserve your own two catagories:
Most passionate and persistant ;-)
Happy new year..
Dear Mina
by Abarmard on Wed Mar 24, 2010 12:37 PM PDTThanks for putting a list together and thinking of all our members. I would tell you how valuable you are and how I enjoy your comments and blogs (and interesting questions, I still tell that Mulla Nasredin joke in parties)... but then it would be chaplusi, so I won't.
Happy Wednesday

by minadadvar on Wed Mar 24, 2010 12:29 PM PDTThanks.

Hi Abarmard
by minadadvar on Wed Mar 24, 2010 12:33 PM PDTMy pleasure.
You should ask them!! But, why would you want to switch places? Objectivity/civility seem to be among rare qualities.
Happy Norooz.
Thanks!

Thank you Mina
by Abarmard on Wed Mar 24, 2010 12:20 PM PDTIs it possible to switch spots with others?
How about if the other person agrees?
Of course Orang....
by Souri on Wed Mar 24, 2010 12:18 PM PDTOrang was the firs one named in the category of the Most poetic ones:
//iranian.com/main/blog/minadadvar/my-fav...
PS- Ms Rusta
Some of the people who mentioned there, would go under the category of the Most Pathetics, in my book :)
But I don't want to mess up with the beautiful spirit of Mina's blog. LOL
Azarin Azzizam
by minadadvar on Wed Mar 24, 2010 12:03 PM PDTNo, this is not a mistake. Aside from being sensitive, you are a great poet. Your work reminds me of Forough. One of my all time favorites.
Happy Norooz to you and all your loved ones.
