Kiss
Lips, how captivating a kiss!
Remembered the moment we met
Leaves of lips filled with bits of Love
Your face, desire’s bits
Your lips’ chalice when pledged
Longing for your kisses became my faith
My comfortable life, gone with the wind
My soul, your love’s fire burned
Open your eyes, time to kiss!
Valley of your eyes, house of love
Shadow of your eyelashes, waves of warmth
Your eyebrows’ curve, path of love
Lasting love, riches of your kisses
Essence of your lips, prisms of mirrors
Heart and soul dressed with radiance
Kisses spring, within your heart

Gorgeous!
by Nazy Kaviani on Mon Jun 07, 2010 11:02 AM PDTThe beautiful poem of Dr. Saadat Nouri has found a whole new life in your translation, MPD. Thank you both for what are now two beautiful poems!
Excellent & Thank You
by M. Saadat Noury on Mon Jun 07, 2010 04:49 AM PDTPoems translated are never really pretty, whichever direction you go; put a poem in English into French, Spanish, German and so on, it will look equally odd. The only way to make a translation work as a poem is not to translate it literally and that is what you have professionally done. The more I look into it the more convinced I am that you have done an excellent job. I am honored. Thank you.
Inspired by HME, may I call you Master in Different Professions (MDP)? Thank you again MDP!
thanks!
by humanbeing on Mon Jun 07, 2010 12:02 AM PDTmmp for translation and illustration, and to dr. noury for the poem.
a great way to start a day, otherwise quite ominous.
thinking of love, not war.

Thank you for translating this passionate poem! It reminds me of Faith Hill's song:

HME is right that you are MMP! :O)
I am glad that you are back to action!
You are MMP not MPD
by Homan Mohabadi Ebrahimi on Sun Jun 06, 2010 06:19 PM PDTThis is a superb blog; an excellent translation and a beautiful painting. Who are you? A poet? A professor in English literature? An expert artist? You must be the Master in Multiple Professions (MMP). You are not MPD!
Thank you for this post indeed.
