In the midst of chaos, the very flow of our blood, enamored by unimaginable vengeance
The beauty of a soul, vanquished thoroughly, by the torrent of violence, at the hands of the oppressor, waiting in ambush
The very essence of humanity, clothed in sacrifice, with a determined objective
She could be my sister, or your brother, yes my darling, all precious life, with great determination
Come my darling, the very blood of our sister, flooding through the street of our hometown
In all its precarious revelation, yes my sweet, the very blood of our sister, flooding through the street of our hometown
What more is there to ask for, but one’s precious life, for one’s determined cause
Yes my sweet, the very life of our beloved sister, snuffed out, with cruelty and violence, and her very blood, flooding through the street of our hometown
Our cause, your cause, and indeed mine too
To liberate our beloved homeland, yes my sweet, from oppression, no price too heavy, none at all
To tell the oppressor, that Our Will, and Determination, far too strong, will overwhelm him
Yes my sweet, even our blood, if necessary, to be thoroughly shed, for our sacred cause, to make the plant of freedom, take root
Listen my sweet, in Our God’s Glorious Heaven
There is indeed, a very special place, for All Martyrs, murdered, for their Convictions, And Deep Beliefs
Sanctify this blood, O’ Lord, make it the very living water, for Our Freedom Tree Grow
Your Blessing, Our Sacrifice, Yes My Lord, make it the very living water, for Our Freedom Tree Grow
In the bosom of all Mankind, the very fountain of life, seeking a tree of liberty, to nourish
Yes my darling, that tree awaiting, in its very soil, for our fountain of living water, to nourish
Come and hold my hand, as this path, could indeed be, exceedingly treacherous
Not by demons, nor by the angels of death, no my darling, but by our very fellow humans, with a Cold Heart, now hold my hand, as this path, could indeed be, exceedingly treacherous
Our Beloved Iran, with a unique opportunity, to resurrect, its wonderful glory
Not by Kings or Queens, no my darling, but by the greatness of its people, with their sacrifices, to resurrect, its wonderful glory
May the spirits of our Martyrs, rejoice, in our blessed efforts, to rescue, our beloved land
Let’s do our part, and not let them down, yes my sweet, we’re indeed on the right path, and now, let’s resurrect, our wonderful land

by yolanda on Tue Oct 13, 2009 10:41 AM PDTHi! Passing through,
I did read your blog (execution of the young man) yesterday that you mentioned about the mixing of church and state.
Iran had secular monarchy, right now theocracy.
Secular democracy is the way to go.
Thanks,
yolanda

by Passing Through on Tue Oct 13, 2009 02:11 AM PDTThe Iranian People are extremely resourceful People
It's most unfortunate that they have been subjected to this tyranny that we call the Islamic Republic
In another blog, I mentioned that the 'Mixing Of Religion And Politics Is Indeed A Deadly Mix'
The Europeans experimented with the mixing of Religion (Christianity) and Politics for several hundred years
They realized the deadly results, and that is why, by and large, the European Countries are 'Secular Democracies' today
We need to do pretty much the same for our Beloved Iran - A Secular Democracy where the Government (Politics) and Religion Are Separate
I want to leave you with this thought: When a country mixes Religion and Government (Politics) together, it essentially gets the Worst of both worlds: Generally, an Incompetent and an Ineffective Government; and also, the overall and utter Corruption of The Religion
If you look at our Beloved Iran today, you would see the Manifestation of both of these issues
Tks again - Please let me know if you have any additional questions

by yolanda on Mon Oct 12, 2009 09:00 PM PDTHi! Passing Through,
I hope one day IC is unblocked in Iran, so Iranian people can access IC from there and contribute articles, poems, pictures, and videos from Iran. That will be very exciting 'cause I am always curious about what they will say.
thanks,
Dear yolanda

The city of Shiraz has been the birth place of a number of wonderful Iranian Poets: Sa'adi, Hafez, and others.
Regarding reading and writing Poetry in two (2) languages, once one has control and command of any particular language, the process is really the same.
I write Poetry in both Farsi and English - However, since Iranian.com is primarily an English Language website, then it would probably be more appropriate for me to write in English than Farsi.
Also, a great many Iranians, especially those who were born after the revolution, or left Iran at an early age, have a better command of English Language than Farsi - So one can convey one's thoughts and ideas better with them in English rather than Farsi.
As you may know, Iranian.com is blocked in Iran. Which means the Iranian people actually have no access to it. Hopefully, once this block is removed, I am sure that we are going to see more writings in Farsi also.
Regarding writing Poetry, try and see what happens - I promise you that you are going to be Pleasantly Surprised!
The Very Best Of Luck To You :)

by yolanda on Sun Oct 11, 2009 02:14 PM PDTDear Passing Through,
Thank you again for your beautiful piece. I have noticed that your writings always contain: Lord, spirit, Heaven, and God. Another thing is that every word is clean in your writings, not like some of the other bloggers!
This poem conjures up the image of Neda dying on the street. I like the phrases: freedom tree, tree of liberty, resurrect, living water, and fountain of life. Those phrases are just beautiful!
Apparently poetry is very popular in Iran! Look at those beautiful gardens and tombs of poets in Shiraz:

You are amazing that you like the poems from 2 different languages! I can't write at all, not even with one language, I only read. Reading makes me happy! Reading is like food to my brain!
Thanks for your contributions to IC and you definitely have your unique style.
thanks,
yolanda

When we were in Iran, the Love Of Poetry was infused within our Soul And Spirit through the works of Our Great Poets such as Sa'adi, Hafez, and of course, Rumi (Mowlana)
When we came to U.S., the Love Of English Language was exposed to us through works of great Poets such as Walt Whitman, etc.
The one thing that I have always learned to practice is: Listening to one's heart, and letting whatever moves one, to come forth from one's Soul And Spirit
I know that it may sound complicated, but it's really simple - Just practice it :)
Many Tks Again .....
Thank you
