From my DaGod school. Ein is an Arabic letter of alphabet that has entered into Persian. Nan is a letter which also means bread. Einan which is the combination of these two letters means identical. Symbolically an Arab letter superseding Nan shows that Arabic ideology is overriding basic necessities of life i.e. bread. It is a bankrupt ideology and culture where one sacrifices basic human needs for the sake of redundant ideology. The work is rather abstract but when I made it I was thinking of people in Iran who live a life that resembles life, rather than live an actual life.

Hi Azadeh
by ramintork on Tue May 17, 2011 12:20 AM PDTGood points, Thank you, it is Noon. I think for that one I switched to auto pilot and changed spoken into formal Persian whereas it did not apply to the letter, so yes I meant to say Noon also means bread.
Interesting
by Azadeh Azad on Mon May 16, 2011 08:41 PM PDT... but a bit too abstract - you have to be there to explain the image!
Also, is N in Persian pronounced Noon or Naan? I always thought it was Noon.
Cheers,
Azadeh
