Even as someone who has always supported the system of Republic I have the utmost respect for the late King.
Today is the 31st anniversary of the death of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi. He, along side his father were arguably the most constructive Kings of Iran for the last four, five hundred years.

I have always been a Republican on the basis of principle but having matured I have come to realize how progressive he was and how he had raised our national pride. Today I don't want to remember his critisms, I want to celebrate his life. A few years ago, I meant this pop Art painting as a tribute the Title of the work is:When he heard their voice, but they did not hear his.

My words exactly. Indeed, it's about time.
