Reza Moridi , Liberal MPP from Richmond Hill issued a letter dated July 14, 2012 in regard of TD bank closing accounts of Iranian Canadian.

1- It is a shame that Reza Moridi who is supporting sanctions which is hurting some Iranian Canadian and Iranians in Iran while TD action is a part of sanction imposed by Canada in last two years.

2- The news broke out in a community media on June 20, 2012 while M.P.P letter is dated July 14, 2012 , 24 days later, when all the Canadian mainstream media covered the issue, and the Iranian Canadian community's foul cry regarding the TD discrimination. It is a shameful position by a politician who is selfish to stick to his seat by selling out our community and Iran.

3- If a politician is thinking of the interest of a community, he has to stand up for their rights at any time.

I'm not surprised at what TD has done

After the fiasco with Khavari, I expect to see more tightening of the rules specially with regards to immigrant Iranians and those who do financial transactions with Iran. Take a walk around Yonge and Finch area and you see many new immigrant men with beard and women with hejab walking around enjoying the freedom that this country has to offer, with the blood money that they brought to Canada from Iran. Let them get screwed. let the banks screw them. I enjoy seeing that :)

As for Moridi, his job is to listen to people's concern and take it to the parliament,  but most likely has his own agenda as well. I don't trust the guy.
