Which took more guts?

"The Left fell in love with a reporter who threw shoes at a man who couldn’t (and wouldn’t) take retribution against his protest. What about supporting a protester who actually put his neck on the line to “tell truth to power”? Two weeks ago, an Iranian student ripped Ali Larijani to his face at a speech and denounced Mahmoud Ahmadinejad":

//hotair.com/archives/2008/12/18/video-a-prot...

The Iraqi "journalist" got all the attention, while almost none of them paid much attention to the Iranian student, including in this "Iranian" website. As is typical of these days, the real heros are ignored while the buffoons get all the attention and all the praise. Can you think of any better sign of moral degeneracy of our multi-culti age?

Anonymous Iranian,

by Anonymous8 (not verified) on

Yes, I found the same thing about a backlash against Israel. It is because there is so much hate, disgust in their voices.

In fact we talked about that student already. Zion is only now found out about it! Iranian always displays these incidents, every day. But one day when the big criminal Bush is humiliated, Zion is upset.

Hajii Ommati historian turned humanitarian

by samsam1111 on

I gather the mumbo jumbo history book & copy paste of Arab regime anti Iran propaganda didn,t find any buyers except a few hajiis ..lool..even a fake Parthian avatar didn,t help the sale ha!! .So now  trying some shaikhist pre-packaged rozeh khooni(sermon) for a crack at a new set of IRV(IRI) 7th grade history book of middle east . The difference between this clueless draftee of mullahs education system & some other hajii kebobis is the fact that he actualy believes the shaikh dictated garbage & waste the time / the paper retyping it into comic book of history intended for brainwashed ommati audience aged 10 to 15. Anti Iranian bigotry has no bounds for ommatis as long as it serves their ommah bros .chee chee cheers!!!

Arash, thanks for the great link!

by Jaleho on

Have you noticed the more documented and thorough a piece of information is, the more Zion calls it a "propaganda," for lack of a better word?

And, isn't Alan Dershowitz  a great monkey trainer  making people like Anonymous Observer parrot his lines and anecdotes reflexively, like an out of place  quote machine?! His type never fail to repeat  a "given set of lines" that Dershowitz and Daniel Pipe set for them without understanding if the BS they're throwing even fits the argument or not :-)

He probably doesn't even KNOW from WHERE he gets his platitudes!

Zion- you have turned more Iranians against Israel on this site

by Anonymous Irani (not verified) on

..., than IRI could even dream of achieving.

Your biased and unlimited 'defense' of anything Israel, personal attacks on the bloggers, name calling and racist remarks against muslims and arabs, have created more anti-Israel sentiment, than years of IRI propaganda could even imagine.

You know why? Because most Iranians who visit this site already hate IRI and nothing that IRI would say could turn their view against someone. But it is your unabashed and rabid personal attacks and shameless and endless support of anything Israel that has turned even the moderate Iranians on this site into a hardcore stand.

Keep up the good work and soon you can apply for a pension plan from IRI.

Arash Monzavi-Kia

As usual you are 100% right An. Ob.

by Arash Monzavi-Kia on

As usual you are 100% right An. Ob.; it is all the Darfur situation that has caused Iran and the Middle East to sink into an impossible impasse:

1. The creation of Darfur in 1948 has caused 60 years of war;

2. It has radicalized all the Arab countries and toppled their moderate monarchies from Libya to Iraq;

3. It was the Darfur secret service that trained the notorious Shah's Savak, and cultivated the seed of hatred in Iran;

4. It was the Darfur regime that played Iraq and Iran against each other during the 1980-1988 war and Iran-Contra;

5. It was the Darfur lobby that masterminded the Iraq invasion by the hapless Americans in order to cripple a potential Arab power;

6. It is the Darfur lobby that prefers Iran bombed and destroyed, rather than have it evolve away from IRI.

An. Ob. you are such a genius and your contributions are turning Iran upside down!

Hey Zion nist, what are you trying to say?

by Anonymous iranian (not verified) on

Are you trying to say the shoe thrower got more attention that the Iranian student in Iran? You are not comparing W with Larijani , are you?w is the president of the most powerful country in the world and Larijani is just a speaker of parliament of a small country.

Anonymous Observer

Arash - You Are the Problem

by Anonymous Observer on

See, you are the perfect example of why Iran is stuck with the IRI.  The Israeli / Palestinian conflict is a terrible mess that has many innocent victoms on both sides of the issue.  But, there are many other conflicts around the world that have innocent victims as well.  The fact that you, and Iranians like you, bring up the Palestinian issue in a knee jerk fashion everytime there is a mention of IRI's atrocities is only a testament to the power of IRI's propganda machine.

Can you tell us how in the world the Israeil / Palestinian conflict has anything to do with a student demanding freedom in Iran?  The answer is that it has nothing to do with it.  But you, and people like you, have been programmed for the past thrity years to automatically bring up that smoke screen and divert attention from what is going on inside Iran.  You are like a bunch of robots, programmed to instantly bring up Israel in one shape or form whenever there's any talk about freedom, opression and IRI's thuggary in Iran.  Have you ever thought about this?  Have you ever thought about why you don't bring up the atrocities in, let's say, Darfur whenever there's talk of democracy in Iran?  Have you ever given thought to the fact that the Israeli / Palestinian conflict is IRI's rallying cry and is what keeps its base inside and outside of Iran fired up?  the same base that has kept in power for the past thirty years?  And lastly, do you realize that every time you spontaneously bring up this issue you help IRI's propoganda machine?  Do you even care that you are being used as a propoganda tool?

Zion

No my dear Arash

This kind of sick and twisted propaganda proves only one thing, and its not about Israel, its only about those who propagate such crap.

by Lefty Lap Poodle (not verified) on

How do you know they are not "apologists"? See this is what Right does, they take a position and dream about how things unfold. Like these students are now chanting death to Khamenei or long live the King!

Whatever you say.

PS since you want me to answer nature's call, I'll make sure to relieve myself at your door so you can see for yourself.

Zion

No doggy

by Zion on

They would never side with the apologists of their butchers and scum of that sort. No dignified person will do such a thing, and they clearly have dignity. But I don't expect a lefty dog to comprehend all that, so don't worry about it too much. Now be a good doggy and go outside when you want to answer nature's call. Didn't the uncles train you properly?

Anonymous Observer, I had totally forgotten that. Thanks for reminding me. ;-)

Remember Zion....

by Anonymous Observer on

We must be "polite" to IRI officials.....for that reason, I really don't like that student yelling at Larijani.  He should have taken a "polite but firm" stance and asked him very quitely about the human rights issues in Iran....yelling (and shoes) are for American officials only...

Hey Zioness...

by Lefty Lap Poodle (not verified) on

What is it to you? They are all leftist. It is like I ask you to choose between Netanyabu or Feiglin or even Livni. You are siding with these students who have the same mentality as many on this website with whom you don't agree day in and day out.

Zion

Hey Doggy...

by Zion on

...,if the students are "leftists", then this is even stronger evidence of the total degeneracy of the left. You know, given its almost absolute silence in this and similar cases. If there is any truth in what you say, the left's total prostitution to the worst fascist thugs on the planet has reached a new low. The students are young, in a few years, especially given this track record they get over the mirage. All that will be left of the Left will be the stink of the dirt swamp it has become. Funny to see your "uncles", from Chaves and Ortega to mad uncle Kim in Korea and former KGB uncle Putin and all the way to uncle Noam the Hizballah lover, all in bed one way or another with the scum who are suffocating students, workers, women and ..., wouldn't you say?

Sam, Thanks. You said it.

No they are liberals

by Alborzi (not verified) on

Its interesting, liberty is seeking freedom, the
students who dare to protest want freedom for Iranian people. Interestingly they have one thing in common with the shoe thrower, they went through major vetting to be admitted and they dared and risked it all to speak their mind. Dubaya and Khamenei also have one common characteristic, they do not get it,

Defenition of "Hero"

by samsam1111 on

Thx Zion . As in many other terms such as "human rights" "change" "historic" & so on has been minimized & trivialized by detached, waneh be elitist, one liner tell all, media zombiis . Funny how whole generations of very young & ignorant buy into this bolony & shallow descriptions .cheers !

Zion

What are you talking about?

by Zion on

Damon Joon, what conspiracy theories? I am talking about the general degeneracy of the so called left in our times. Ahmadinejad is famous enough for such an event to be top news. Bush's story obviously gets a lot of coverage, but this one has been almost completely ignored. This is not typical journalism of a healthy free society, not the kind we had merely 50 years ago. This is ideological bias of the most disgusting kind. The same we see everyday about reports on Israel, America or anything that is in line with true tradition of free market and western liberal democracy.

Dear Fred. as usual we agree 100%. Thanks.

Fred

Capitalist mongrels

by Fred on

Derogation of the left in general and its Iranian version’s complete degeneration is a dirtiest chapter of our sorry times. Gone are the days of high ideals now is the time to hookup with the murderous misogynist Islamists,  Ku Klux Klans and Anti-Semites all in the name of fighting the capitalist mongrels. The kicker being they are willing to fight to the last enslaved Iranian from their comfy perches in the capitalist West.

Guts?

by Damon Jooon (not verified) on

Interesting point. Well, Bush is known all over the world, the "balls" it took was probably not much, he more likely than not knew he would be praised for his action.

Personally, I would have kicked the sh** out of him after the first throw. After all, Bush is still our Commander and Chief. However, yes it was a messed up action that a Middle Eastern "educated" "journalist" would throw his shoe at a world leader. I mean wow protest at its best, or journalism at its worst.

However, yes this is a better sell than what is happening internally in Iran. If God-forbid the students in Shiraz are hanged. Which, is unlikely because the real power holders are not really pleased with the Ahmadinejad b.s., it probably will not make front page news in the West. You can beat off to all the conspiracy theories you wish. Yet, journalism is a business and in business we should all know what floats and what don't.
