* Call for papers: CIRA 2001

The 19th annual conference of the Center for Iranian Research and Analysis (CIRA) will be held at the University of Toronto, Canada, on April 28-29, 2001. The theme of the conference is"Iran : Between Tradition and Modernity". Submission of papers and proposals for complete sessions on all topics related to Iran, the Middle East, and Central Asia are encouraged. Topics of interest include :

* Economy and economic policy * Women issues * Politics and political systems * Literature * Social Sciences and Social issues * Arts * Philosophy * Film * History * Environment * Linguistics * Anthropology
