Iran has reportedly provided an emergency financial lifeline to the regime in the amount of $5.6 billion as billions pour out of Syrian banks by nervous depositors seeking safe haven in Beirut or Istanbul-based banks. As I reported earlier, intelligence analysts have irrefutable proof that Iran has dispatched advisers from its domestic secret police forces (The Law Enforcement Service or LED) and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRCG) to take over direct supervision of anti protest suppression>>>

Sassanian Iran and Byzantine Rome were possibly the only two empires on earth to be “hyper-powers” during late antiquity; the Greek speaking Christian Romans (or Byzantines) dominated the countries of Italy, Spain, Greece, Egypt, Syria, Asia Minor (Turkey), Armenia, western Mesopotamia (Iraq) and the Balkans. The Zoroastrian Sassanian Persians ruled an empire that included parts of India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, eastern Mesopotamia and Tajikistan. من هم معتقدم که صد‌ها هزار و شاید اگر اغراق نباشد میلیون‌ها ایرانی به‌طور عمومی می‌دانند و بی‌شک در حین زندگی در ایران متوجه شده‌اند که بی‌حرمتی، اجحاف و حتی خشونت نسبت به زنان وطن‌شان وجودی عمیق دارد ولی شاید کاملاً نمی‌دانند این پدیده مختص ایران و شرایط اقلیمی و فرهنگی آن نیست و در حقیقت یک پدیده قدیمی جهانی است>>>

رعنا رفیق اهل اسلوی من بود. تازه از بیمارستان آمده بود. چند شب پیش همه‌ی قرص‌های داخل کمد آشپزخانه‌اش را خالی دهانش کرده بود تا به قول خودش از زندگی سراسر غم و رنج بارش آزاد بشود. با خنده گفتم: «خب پس چرا هنوز زنده‌ای کله‌پوک؟» با خنده‌ی بی‌صدایی گفت: «دوست پسرم خیلی زود فهمید و مرا به بیمارستان رساند.» آخ از دست این دوست پسر احمقش!!!>>>

دامنه خشونت در ایران به جایی رسیده که داد مجلسیان و دولتیان را نیز درآورده است. کمتر روزی است که اخبار و گزارش‌های قتل و جنایت آن هم در منظر عموم و یا تجاوز و خشونت جنسی به صورت‌های فردی و گروهی به زنان و کودکان در ایران منتشر نشود. آنچه بیشتر نگران کننده است سیر صعودی آمار این جنایت‌ها است. رژیم حاکم می‌اندیشد که با اعمال مجازات‌های خشن می‌تواند این سیر صعودی را متوقف یا معکوس کند>>>

یکی از بزرگترین معضلات اجتماعی ما فعالیت بانوان در عرصه ی هنری است. به خصوص در زمینه هایی که بعد اجتماعی فراگیرتری دارد از جمله بازیگری و خوانندگی. بر خلاف عده ای از دوستان که معتقدند انقلاب باعث محدودیت بیشتر خانم ها در چنین عرصه هایی شده است من معتقدم قبل از آن چارچوب سنتی و تفکرات قرون وسطایی بعضی از مردان جامعه و در پاره ای از موارد زنان جامعه باعث این محدودیت ها شده بود>>>

What I mean by this is they are not interested in towing a party or propaganda line and, broadly speaking, they desire great personal and political freedom, support political pluralism, nonviolent social change and human rights. Most young people in Iran do not buy into the regime's propaganda. For how long can the Islamic Republic rule and seek to manipulate a recalcitrant population by telling lies, exaggerating threats and manufacturing crises?>>>

در ماه های گذشته، هر آیت الله و امام جمعه و شیخ و ملایی، و هر به اصطلاح نماینده ی مجلسی، و هر سیاستمدار و متفکر مذهبی وابسته به حکومتی میان حرف هایش از چیزی به نام «هویت اسلامی» سخن می گوید و تاکید می کند که: «هویت ما اسلامی است و نه ایرانی». من در این جا سه نمونه از گفته های این افراد را که دو تای آن در نشریات رسمی دولتی منتشر شده و در واقع به نوعی تفکر کل حکومت اسلامی را مطر ح می کند برایتان می آورم:>>>
