Today, I had my birthday

Though he did not recall

The one to whom I gave love  

To whom I gave it all

 

Today, I had my birthday

I spent the day in the sun

I vowed to find stillness

As the sun and sea were one

 

Today I had my birthday

Sixth day in "Ordi behesht"

The 26th of April

The day " I " slowly perished

 

Today I had my birthday

I shed tears of delight

I mourned the death of ego

This journey's now my plight

 

Today I had my birthday

In true love, I reside

In joy and peace I will be

As "my-self" has since died
