It “seldom” changes,
“Often” as expected,
“Never” challenged,
“Always” safe
In familiar walls,
Until God slaps it on its face –
A breeze, an unexpected smile,
Or, a tragedy devastating the heart.
“What if the chance of a lifetime
Never catches on?”
Am I as good as this prison called
Peace and harmony of
My surrounding halls?
Set the walls on fire, ask the wind
To dance with flames before the ashes
Take over the night.
Don’t ask about the stranger’s home address
Or analyze her smile,
Just chase your own heart onto the next valley
Of sensation, there is glory in the “wake up” call.
Don’t curse God for the pain in the heart,
Or become a victim constantly asking,
“Why me?" But, pick up each teardrop and linger
In that crystal ball, its other name, “jewel-pearl,”
Of this life.
Keep your mouth shut, as if you were born
Mute.
Your ears open, as if you are a python listening
To heartbeats of the rabbit nearby, trying to evade you
In silence of disguise.
Your eyes wide open, tied to a rope
Connecting to your heart,
As if a command-and-control center
Is indeed in charge.

Grasping glimpses of higher consciousness/awareness might bring along and no longer necessitate the game of command & control that the mind plays oh so well.
To witness sparks of the Truth facilitates surrendering to that higher self . . . In that state of unity, the internal & external world meld in harmony & ecstacy ensues; what your eyes see is what your heart feels and the whole is what your being is at any moment in which you leap into that state of bliss.

Thank you for your kind words from the City of Love and Lights. I wished that I had the command of the French language so I could have thanked you in French, but I don't have this skill.

The Eye/Heart connection sees the manifestation of the external world through the internal world. The command-and-control center happened to be the moment's metaphor for depicting the acute state of consciousness and awareness.
Thank you for your kind comment.
A beautiful & touching poem
by "Golhaaye Daroon" (not verified) on Fri May 08, 2009 07:49 PM PDTA beautiful & touching poem . . . .
The ending is puzzling though; A connection between the heart & the eyes . . . and then "command-and-control center" is indeed in charge?! Where does "the command" and then "control" come to play in this equation?!

En voilà un très joli poème, et très captivant au demeurant
J'espère que le voyage à Barcelone était bien agréable et qu'il vous a laissé des souvenirs exquis
