“Copie Conforme” is a film by Abbas Kiarostami which means that it’s s-l-o-w. Slow enough to make you fidget in your seat. Slow enough to take you back to the days of the interminable scenes of couples-- walking apart from each other and not talking—in those excruciating Antonioni films of the sixties. Slow enough to give you time to wonder about the nature of cinema. Should it be entertaining? Should it encourage reflexion? Can it be boring? Then, because it is a film by Abbas Kiarostami, “Copie Conforme” goes way beyond that first impression. >>>

به گونه ای تصادفی، مقاله ای در مجله «مری کلر» با عنوان «چند همسری در اسلام» نظرم را به خود جلب کرد که به دیدگاه های یک روزنامه نگار عربستان سعودی به نام « نادین البدیر» پرداخته بود. در این مقاله آمده است که نویسنده فوق تلاش کرد تا با خلق یک ادعای خیالی پر هیاهو به واقعیت دردناک و ضد انسانی چند همسری در اسلام انتقاد کند. به عنوان یک ایرانی به ذهنم رسید که ماجرای فوق ربط زیادی با جامعه ایرانی ندارد ولی ... در بهت تاسف باری متوجه شدم که برداشت اولیه ام از واقعیت به دور است>>>

I said I wanted to go see her, but Paul insisted she didn’t want any visitors. Maybe she didn’t mean me and Paul was just mad about my going over to Katie’s. Hiding my feelings was hard work, but it had to be done. If Paul sensed that I had fallen in love with Katie, her appraisal value would suddenly double and the love triangle stalemate would be broken. There was only so much Christie’s illness could do to forestall his leaving her for Katie>>>

یادت می آید سالها پیش در ورودی شهربازی گریه من را در آوردی چون روسری به سر نداشتم و دختر خالم مانتواش کوتاه بود؟ من فقط 8 سال داشتم! آیا به خاطر داری در ورودی فرودگاه مهرآباد به من باز هم حمله کردی چون شلوارم کوتاه بود؟ من 10 ساله بودم! می دانم خاطرت نیست که هر بار با دوستانم به بیرون میرفتیم شبح تو ما را دنبال می کرد تا خاطرات شیرین جوانی را در کام ما تلخ کند!>>>

All the way home from the movie Prince of Persia we three cousins fantasized about what we would do if we had a Dagger of Time so that we could go back to our decision points in the past and do things differently. Some stock purchases, college majors, and divorces later we ended up in politics. How should we as a nation have acted so we wouldn’t end up in the mess we’re in? The conclusion was that as individuals we couldn’t change anything, except in unrealistic ways like taking a lot of money out of the country when 6 Tomans could still buy a Dollar and then funding a counter offensive against the dictatorial trends>>>

سرانجام پس از سال‌ها بحث و تردید در مورد اصالت نامه انیشتین در خصوص مشرف شدن به آیین شیعه، متن کامل این نامه منتشر و پژوهشگران حوزه انیشتین‌شناسی تایید کردند که نه فقط دستخط بلکه محتوا و لحن نامه نیز دقیقا بر سایر نوشته‌های آلبرت انیشتین مطابقت کرده و نویسنده حقیقی آن نامه انیشتین می‌باشد. متن کامل این نامه که چند روز پیش از درگذشت آلبرت انیشتین خطاب به ایرج حسابی نوشته شده بوده است و در آن صراحتا به موارد مذکور اشاره شده است به شرح زیر است.>>>

در زمان سلطنت Atahualpa (حدود پانصد سال قبل)، ایندولند به یمن رعایت اصول دقیق پاچه خواری به مراتب بالائی از پیشرفت در این زمینه رسید. این پادشاه بزرگ ضمن انجام دهها اصلاح ساختاری در ارکان حکومت، فرمانی صادر و کمیته ای را مامور استاندارد کردن اصول پاچه خواری کرد و این گروه بعد از بیست سال مطالعه سرانجام در اوایل دوره رنسانس که اروپائی ها از خواب غفلت صده های تاریک قرون وسطی بیدار می شدند، پاچه خواری را استاندارد کرده و یاسای ده فرمان بزرگ پاچه خواری ممهور به مهر سلطنتی برای رعایت حال و رفاه رعایای کشور ایندولند انتشار یافت>>>
