Time

"Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine
Staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long
And there is time to kill today
And then one day you find
Ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
You missed the starting gun

And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter
Never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to nought
Or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desparation is the English way
The time is gone
The song is oore to say

Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
When I come home cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells"

"Pink Floyd"

Death cyberspace style

by Mountain Bike (not verified) on

I guess not everyone is partial to the idea of waking up one day and realizing one is dead already. I believed it to be the other way around, that most people on this planet believe that there is life after death, and once one is dead they mysteriously come back to life again.

But regardless, in the cyberspace it is quite possible to die as one person and come back to life again as a different person and say who I was is dead already.

I've lost minutes before... and questioned an hour or so... vaguely recall a year or so slipping past... but 10 years!  LoL

You're having a bad day, aren't you?  Don't worry, it's Friday and all it takes is a blender, some tequila, and margarita mix and life will start looking much much better...:-)

I believe age is only a number, like weight! As long as you eat, rest, and enjoy life in a healthy way who cares how long. Let's look at life not in length but in depth. You right, as long you right who cares what type of bike, the point is you're enjoying your ride.

PEACE

I am afraid I don't have 40 years left

by Mountain Bike (not verified) on

I am afraid one day soon I'll wake up and realize that I am dead already. I think I should just about forget about what kind of a bike I want to be and just enjoy the rides for a change.

Mountain Bike!

It's never too late to make up for those long lost days. Last year in my 40th B-Day, I decided that I still have 40 more years (let's say hopefully), so I decided to be who I wanted to from that very moment. I am not acting as an MFT, am I?
