In absence of official reactions to the struggle of the Iranian students, I contacted different governments and requested their official statements in response to what happened on the Students Day.

Italy:

We strongly condemn the disproportionate measures adopted by the Iranian government in dealing with the peaceful demonstrations staged by the students who only demand their basic human rights.

Venezuela:

Comrade Ahmadinejad is fighting with the dark forces of the imperialism and has our full support.

Russia:

Demonstrations will be counter-productive with Iran. Students have to talk to the elected government. We have seen no evidence that the Iranian government infringes on the rights of the students.

Saudi Arabia:

لعنت اله الا لضالمین والسفاکین الدولت الایرانی و الشیعی الاسلامی، مرحبا الملک العادل عبدالله والمقطوع الکله والدست و پا بالتانک والمسلسل

Transliteration: God damn the tyrant oppressor Shia Islamic republic of Iran. Praise the just king Abdullah, cutting hands and limbs, tank and machine gun.

Egypt:

Our pharaoh Mobarak, would like to express his displeasure at the tactics used by the Iranian regime. He said those who stick to the throne right to the end of their life and then facilitate the transition of power to their sons, have to understand that they are not the only people who have an interest in the future of the country.

Britain:

We fully support the United States stance.

USA:

We would like to express our strongest condemnation of the barbaric Islamic regime that has defied the Security Council resolutions and pursues the enrichment of nuclear materials.

Finland:

We strongly condemn the ineffective jamming of the mobile network signal resulting from the misuse of the Nokia’s state of the art signal jamming and tracking equipment. This has adversely affected Nokia’s reputation and opportunities for sale to other jam loving estates.

Germany:

Finland is right. Our Siemens has also been affected by Tehran’s cost cutting measures and the use of domestic engineers instead of professional unemployed Germans.

India:

زندگانی محبت ضرورت هه. همارا بسیجی محبت کرتاهه چرتی چرتی. آپ کا حیوان نهی، انسان هه.

Translation: Chicken Biryani

China:

Come down, 45 dollars a barrel is too expensive. Saudi does it for 42 dollars a barrel. Go down to 40 dollars and I order 10 trillion barrels and that is only the first month.

Israel:

The government of Israel disapproves of the abhorrent and disproportionate measures of the Islamic regime that uses its latest sophisticated military arsenal in dealing with stone throwers.

Turkey:

We will not be releasing a statement as it will be against our neutral stance and the Toubreh and Akhor policy.

Iran:

تا نباشد چوب تر فرمان نبرد گاو و خر

این خس و خاشاک را باید زدن چوبی به سر

Translation: We hit you if you don’t toe the line and fail to do what we say. We may not have brains but we have batons, guns and fatwa.

Dear Kourosh

by divaneh on

I have contacted those two countries after your request and they have given me the following statements.

 El Salvador:

The pot that does not boil for us, ...

Ivory Coast:

Now you know what it is like to be slaves.

There has also been an apology from Iraq who said their statement will be further delayed as they are still waiting for the US approval and then they have to send it to Iran for approval.

Thank you for your kind comments.

Little Tweet, you are the second person in this site who has suggested that I am not divaneh. I am now starting to doubt my psychoanalyst's judgement. I will go to see him tomorrow.

IRANdokht

You're good! I was going to copy/paste my favorites but they were too many, so I am just saying to the India statement: YUM!

Thank you for the satire. My favorite ones are statements from Britain, Venezuela, Finland, and Turkey. Thank you for the Farsi translation!
