I definitely like both of them and thank you for the "zahmat".

You definitely enriched what I wrote before and I thank you for that.   I was more inclined to think of the postive imperative made with the "bon'e fe'el" such as "ro".  Thank you for reviving this.

Dear Mr. Avaznia,

Another beautiful poem. I enjoyed reading this one, too.

Recently, I read your talk about not being able to translate your book into Persian because of the financial difficulties involved.

Remembering that talk, here's what I came up with:

Taa nabari ranj zin tavaromeh laakerdaar

Yek man khiaar o deegi por az maast miferestamat!

I hope you like maast o khiar.

Dear Manouchehr/ A Parsa

by Souri on

Manouchehr jan, beautiful poem as always. I liked also your  " snow" poem a lot. I should post my appreciation under that beautiful poem too. I really loved both.

About the word " mouyeedan" :

I believe the positive imperative for this word is " bmouy" which is used sometime by Hafez and other "bozorgan sher Farsi"....but as you just said it is used rarely, like "bmouy ei del" or " bmouyd yaran"..and so on.

Again thanks for your great poems, we are lucky to have you among us .

Thank you for the comment.  Sُweet is the master whom I tried to immitate.  I mean Hafez.

"Mooeedan" is "Mooyeh Kardan" and it means "whining", or "moaning": more whining than moaning.  "Mooyeh" in the form of noun and "Mooyeh Kardan" as a double word verb have been frequently used in Farsi, wherease "Mooeedan" and its negative imperative form "Mamooy" is not commonly used.  Positive imperative form "Mooy", perhaps, doesn't exist as it may cause confusion with the "Mooy" menaing hair.  I do not recall having seen it used.  My knowledge of Paarsee literature is very limited, anyway.  So, by the word "Mamooy", I mean "do not whine" or "do not moan".
