Alluhuabha

Kindly some dearest friends have already asked me for several times to write them how I spend time in prison. At first, I would like to mention that my imprisonment assigned for 4 years that 3 years of it have been expired so for in isolation cell (individually prison).

in this 3 years, I have been in the house of detention of security office center of Fars province (shiraz), where there is any public prison and all who stay there are of security or politics accuser and live in isolation cell.

The isolation cell is just a small chamber where its ironic door is been closed all the time and there is not any window or trap- door to out side area and a lavatory set has been installed in this small room.

Every prisoner has been let to go out side for fresh air around 30 minutes every day. There is no tree, no grass; what you can see is only concrete floor (as wide as a volleyball field) and large wall which beyond them the beautiful blue sky can be seen.

When the weather is so hot or cold or it is rainy you can not go for open air. One time every week, I can call to my family and talk to them for 5 minutes and also once every week I can meet them behind a thick glass just for 5 minutes.

ShirazEvery day some dedicated jailers are responsible for bringing breakfast, lunch and dinner and also to lead prisoner to open air. All of them are men and I can not hide this fact that their behavior against me is quite respectful and polite and up to now they have not tormented or hurt me.

In my cell there are a heater, a cooler, a TV set and also there are 3 blankets that one of them is used as a carpet and 2 of them for sleeping. Another facilities that I have on my cell are consists of: a soap, a shampoo, a tooth brush , a tooth paste , a box of handkerchief, a nail trimmer, a box of detergent, a towel , a comb and one added clothes and nothing else. I should mention that once every 2 or 3 weeks, the jailers ask a list of shopping from each prisoner for buying him/her the necessary hygienic facilities or some fruits. So as there is any refrigerator in our cells, the prisoners can buy only 1 or 2 kind of fruit like apple or orange.

Some of you may think that living with some simple facilities is very difficult, but the important fact is that every body, after passing some times, can learn how to live with such facilities without any problem; it means no problem if you do not have a mirror, and so even if you do not have comfort bed or furniture or refrigerator.

There is very important that how you train your spirit and thought for thinking about the values of humanity and spirituality freedom of all belonging just for divine goals. In this way you are glad and thankful and enjoy the opportunity.

It took one week for me that learnt how should I managed myself and my time for praying, reading the books, exercising, walking in the cell and watching TV without falling in the routine life.

Little by little, I learned while I am reading books, I took notes and starting to write searching articles. Also for the time of praying I make a schedule. For example, I memorized prayers and also began to practicing and learning an art that is called “illumination”. It is an Iranian noble art.

A bulk of my time is spent for reading and writing them. By helping BIHE (Bahai Institute for Higher Education), I started to study the political sciences (politics). Another field of my study is Islamic Gnosticism, Iranian social history, sociology and literature. (I’ve been given permission to have a book for each week.) In addition to study, some of my time is spending for writing articles and remembrance of prison and stories for children and youth. (Up to now, I succeed to write 60 stories that they are the profits of my practical experiences with children and youths and my studies.)

So, my daily schedule consists: at 6:30 am the jailer brings me breakfast, at 8 am I walk around my cell for 30 minutes and at the same time I chant “is there remover…”after breakfast, I start to study, at 10 am, the jailer take me to open air for 30 minutes and contemporaneous, I chant by myself “is there remover..”. When I got back to my cell, again I study or write something, at 12, the jailer brings lunch and up to 2:30 pm I watch TV and then rest fore a while. After that, again I study or write something, at 5 pm, I exercise for 30 minutes and after that I walk around my cell for 2 hour and at the same time again chant “is there remover…” (I chant more than 1000 times this verse every day).

After prayer I take a bath then listen to news and have dinner the jailer brought me before, after that I practice illumination for 2 hours, about 10:30 pm, I watch a film and finally sleep at 11 or 12 pm.

Every 3 months I have been allowed to have a vacation for one or two weeks. This is a nice opportunity for meeting my family and friends and going to a short trip and also can go to library and get some books in trust (about 12 books for 3 months next). Most of all, I can meet my illumination professor and he corrects my practices and teaches me new lessons.

When I am out, I have a golden opportunity to type my writings and articles by helping my friends. Also I can call all Bahai prisoners’ families in other cities and seeking after them and their prisoners. Some times, I meet some of the authorities of the state or some of high ranking lawyers in the country and consult them about the human rights of the Bahai community in Iran.

Maybe you think that being in the prison is so hard but if you believe that patience and perseverance in misfortunes is the cause of spiritual progress and elevation of individual and community, it gives you pleasure. In spite of the fact that some days being in prison was hard for me, but whenever I think about the 3 years that have been passed so far, it gives me the feeling of spiritual joys. The days of prison has given me many important lessons and it has made me ready for giving more services to the human world.

For ever, I am very thankful for this grace and talent that is given to me without worthy of it by Bahaullah, and I pray from bottom of my heart for my dearest and more devoted father and mother that have given me the present of the opportunity of living and asking mercy, forgiveness and success for them in the sight of God.

I have written of all my experiences and memoires during my imprisonment. Maybe I changed it to a book when I will be released. But I pay respect for those who asking me to do this job  until then this brief comment may be suffice, and I hope for the day  that can steps with all of you for sending the message of peace and unity of Bahaullah to all mankind especially my dear Iranian fellow countryman until disappearing all of prejudices  and ignorance from the world s face.

Your honor and happiness is all my wish.

Assuring you of my highest esteem

Raha sabet

The issue is that Nadeem seems to be under the mistaken impression you are Bahai. No matter how many times you explain he is not beleiving you.

Many anti-Bahai think if you in any way defend them then you are one of them. Does not make sense.

Hoshang Targol

Nadeem, any and all non-democratic conducts are condemnded,

by Hoshang Targol on

be it carried out by IR or any of the communities or groups within
opposition, which IR suppresses. I get  a picture form you that Baha'i
community could
"improve" its approach to internal dissent, the business  within ! At
the same time we
could probably say the same things about almost every-single other
community
and group within Iran ( perhaps with the exception of CPI and a few
others). If make two generalization could be made about Iranian politics
it would be that: We ,Iranians ( within all sides: Right , Left,
Nationalist, Religious,..) are extremely divided, fragmented, and
undemocratic, and of course these two characteristics are very much
connected. Until and unless we become democratic, and practice tolerance
within our ranks and outside of them, and be democratic in our
thoughts, conduct, and methods we won't be able to unify and make a
difference.

We (
almost all Iranians) have a very hard time dealing with  dissension, and
different, opposing point of view , especially if they emanate from within our
own communities. Keep all of this in mind, needless to say , fighting
IR and overthrowing it, ought to be the first priority for all of us. Not
that we should keep quite about suppression of dissent within any group
or community, but combine such criticism with a healthy focus on overthrowing
IR. Other than this we'll be stuck in square one forever, ( which has been the case for the past 30 years).

Dude I've been
responding to all your queries and you STILL haven't read ( or haven't said what you think about) Khoei's poem! Get with it, and have a nice day, cheers

Nadeem: Only because I support Bahai's ( Jews, Christains, Baluchis, Azarbaijani,...) right to freedom of speech, that does not make me a Bahai, (Jewish, Chriatian, Baluchi, Azarbaijani,...) AN INJURY TO ONE IS AN INJURY TO ALL, that's all.

SHAMEFUL

by Maryam Manteghi on

Dear All,

This is a post by a woman who is a prisoner of conscience in Iran. She is describing her life as an individual who has spent years in solitary confinement in an Iranian prison. She wrote this in her prison cell. This, in any human being of any background who is living a life of freedom, with opportunities to go outside, study, work and live with their family, would inspire feelings of gratitude, compassion and admiration as well as sorrow and anger at the plight of individuals like her in Iran and all over the world who are daily robbed of their God given rights. What have we become that such a letter can only inspire what I read above.  As a human being, I am horrified.

Birth, Thank you Nadeem

by muscle-defender on

Thank you Nadeem jaan for the acknowledgement of the Birth of Baha'u'llah on this great day.

"Consort with all men, O people of Bahá, in a spirit
of friendliness and fellowship. If ye be aware of a
certain truth, if ye possess a jewel, of which others
are deprived, share it with them in a language of
utmost kindliness and goodwill. If it be accepted,
if it fulfill its purpose, your object is attained. If
anyone should refuse it, leave him unto himself, and
beseech God to guide him. Beware lest ye deal unkindly
with him. A kindly tongue is the lodestone
of the hearts of men. It is the bread of the spirit, it
clotheth the words with meaning, it is the fountain
of the light of wisdom and understanding."  - Baha'u'llah

Dearest Targol

by nadeem khan on

If you are an atheist then what is the thing that is stopping you to condemn the policies of Baha'i Adminsitration.

I am not asking you to condemn or hate Baha'is or Baha'is Religion. I am just saying that there is no problem if somebody or all believe in Mr. Baha'u'llah tachings. his teachings are not bad. The Bad thing is the concept of Universal Government under Baha'i dictatorship. Are you ready to accept that if one Baha'i believes in another way than the majority of Baha'is, be shunned. His family members who belongs to the Majority Baha'is are asked to shun this person or severe action is taken against them by the Baha'i Adminstration. They are boycotted from the community. Is this not something that Hardcore Islamist doing?

You are an athiest, why not condemn this behaviour? This rules are created by the so called manifestation of god on earth for today i.e. UHJ. Where did Baha'u'llah asked the Baha'is to shun other Baha'is?

Those who believe in Baha'u'llah, Abbas Effendi and Shoghi Effendi to be manifestations of God are Baha'is. That's all. Why create sects? Why not allow contacting Orthodox Baha'is, debating with them, maintaining relations with them. Why hate them? Why to run away from them? Why to persecute them if they use the religious symbols that are registered by the Internation Baha'i Community Inc.

Is this good with any heavenly, true, latest religion? Tell me if you are really an Athiest?

Are you ready to accept that 9 elected people when come at one place (UHJ) become infallible? There decisions are believed to be the decisions of God himself? Can any sane person believe this? Even the Iranian Shias do not believe their Waliy-i-faghih to be Infallible.

May you stay in peace.

Allah'u'Abho

Nadeem: Whatever

by Hoshang Targol on

You're actually not as jaded, cynical and burnt-out as I thought. Once you heard the song on children being abused EVEN YOU had to condemn it. More power to you.

My firend you could call me whatever you please, I've been an atheist since god know when! I have a feeling you're just being unusually defensive and insecure about a few lines of poetry, because perhaps you are a true human being and an  Iranian, and nothing in the world disturbes you more than defensless children being harrassed, and perchance nothing in the world effects you more than the wisdom expressed in poetry.

Please prove me wrong again, read the entire poem and let us know what you think of it, cheers

Dear Nadeem,

Rebeque Murphy's letter is most amazing.  She is only repeating what Baha'u'llah HimSelf states in the Tablet of Ahmad.

"For the people are wandering in the paths of DELUSION, bereft of discernment to see God with their own eyes, or hear His Melody with their own ears.  Thus have We found them, as thou also dost witness.  Thus have their superstitions become veils between them and their own hearts and kept them from the path of God, the Exalted, the Great." - Jamal-i-Mubarak Baha'u'llah

muscle-defender

Nadeem Joon, your Allah does not Exist

by muscle-defender on

Nadeem joon, I already answered your question.  Here it is again:

"The unknowable god is a logical step in the evolution
of religion. As our understanding of the physical world improved, so
our concept of the gods changed. Their first incarnation was as spirits
controlling the forces of nature. They then transformed into powerful
beings on Olympus or in Valhalla, so close to us that we knew their
every idiosyncrasy, jealousy and sexual dalliance.

Such gods still thrive in India, but elsewhere they
have been replaced by a single deity who is less interested in the daily
weather than in our long-term spiritual welfare. In temperament,
however, he remained close to Zeus or Odin, displaying very human traits
of anger, violence and obsession with sex.

Two thousand years later, it seems reasonable that
our perception of God continues to change.
As science demonstrates that God is no longer needed to explain the
universe or our human existence, he becomes, for some believers, ever
more distant and unknowable.

Unknowability also makes sense to believers who find a
contradiction between the idea that God is perfect and the highly
imperfect being who appears in scriptures like the Bible and Quran.
Because he is perfect we cannot know him.

We are now faced with three options:
a. God is knowable. Scriptures are at least partially true and
God has a personality with human-like emotions. Believers can experience him directly.
b. God is unknowable. It is unclear how much, or how little,
scriptures reveal of the deity. God cannot be describe in human
terms and believers cannot experience him directly.
c. God does not exist.
Scriptures confuse history with myth and imagination.     Believers
experience not God but their longing for a deity.

The first option is the God of most Christians,
somewhere between the angry Father of the Old Testament and the love
personified in Jesus. It is the God of men and women
who are certain not only that God exists but that they have a personal
relationship
with him.

The second option - Allah is unknowable - presents some problems. There
is a contradiction for Islam: they say
that God is unknowable - but they are based on scriptures which both
give a clear indication of God's personality and describe occasions when
God has clearly made himself known to human beings.
This idea - that God is both unknowable and revealed in literature -
is contradictory.

An alternate vision of the unknowable God is the Deist
version. This God is the most distant of all. He may have created the
universe but now shows no interest in it or the human race. Or he is
interested in his creation but he is beyond experience. Scripture is
irrelevant.

At the end of the day, we worship the God that we
ourselves choose.
Religious leaders reveal little or nothing about the deity;
their actions and words, their gestures and emotions reveal only their
own
foibles and weaknesses. The truth is that whether or not he exists,
the God we worship is the god we ourselves create.

Hi friend,

I already explained to you why ALL people are Baha'is.  Muslims may believe ALL people are created by "Allah".  Or atheists may believe that ALL people were not created by any god or gods.  Do you now see what I am saying?

Shutruk

Adib is in complete denial

by Shutruk on

Adib,

Where there's smoke there is a fire. The British don't give a damn about Falun-Gong and other cults. They didn't blink an eyelid as China violently cracked down on the Uighur Muslims last year. But they have been supporting the Bahai "faith" for over 100 years now.

I like how you describe Zionism as merely the "self-determination of the Jewish people". Of course, you have to speak well of your masters. You decline to mention that Zionism has entailed the usupration, displacement, massacre and oppression of millions of Palestinians in order to set up the world's only racist and apartheid state, and give the Americans and British a "stick with which to beat the Arabs and Muslims".The fact that your HQ lies on occupied land in such a state doesn't seem to bother you at all.

Bahaism, Wahabism and Zionism represent an "axis of evil" in the Middle East and Islamic world. They are simply colonialist creations: Bahaism was set up to undermine Shiism, Wahabism to pervert Sunnism and Zionism to attack Islam as a whole. They offer nothing except serving as the backdoor to neo-imperialist political hegemony, including cultural and economic.

Did Bahai merchants rise up against the granting of the tobacco monopoly to a British concessionaire in 1891? No, it was the Shia clergy who opposed this. What about the 1919 uprising against the Anglo-Persian treaty which would have made the country a British protectorate? Again, the Bahais were secretly in support of the British take-over as they knew they would be put in positions of power.

I have met many Bahais - they seem to be very nice people at first when you encounter them. But I have witnessed how devious and duplicitous they can be when you criticise them or expose what they are doing. It is the same with most pseudo-religious cults.

Veiled Prophet of Khorasan

Why do

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on

people keep arguing on this topic? It we just accept freedom of religion the whole problem is solved as follows:

  • Bahai have a right to their religion without persecution. In Iran and outside of Iran.
  • It does not matter who is sympathetic to Bahai. It is not relevant.
  • We are not ALL Bahai. This goes to freedom of choice.

The problem Islam has with Bahai is based on doctrine. Islam says that Mohammad was the last prophet. Bahai obviously goes against it. The solution is : live and let live. To Muslims Mohammad is the last one. This is not binding on anyone else including Bahai who have a right to think whatever they want on the matter. To me: my beliefs are a personal matter.

You say a thousand times that you are not a Baha'i. But your behaviour is of a Typical Haifan Baha'i. May be you are one of the ABM for protection. i don't know!!!

nadeem khan

In case you require proof for any of my claims please ask.

by nadeem khan on

You did not get my question Joon. This is the effect of Ruhi Books that your mind is thinking in a Ruhi-ized Baha'i Way.

YOU SAID - BAHA'U'LLAH CREATED THE UNIVERSE,

So I asked you some questions, What I understood from your point was
that he created universe so he is God or something like that :)

Although you are not a right person whom questions should be asked.
Because Ayat'u'lBaha Mr. Adib Masumian failed you. According to him
your Ideas are not proper and you are misinterpreting the religion of
Baha. Do you know Adib? He is considered a Scholar by the people of
your (united?) community?

My Questions were :

IF HE CREATED UNIVERSE THEN WHO CREATED BAHA'U'LLAH?

If he created the universe, then he also created everything in it,
that means he created Subh-i-Azal also, who later poisoned him?

It means Baha'u'llah is himself the cause of his poisoning?

I am not talking about the love that Baha'u'llah had for Subh-i-Azal, right! Do you get me?

Secondly : About Malik-i-yawm-id-deen

You wanted to say that he is Lord Krishna whom the Hindus are
awaiting, Imam Mahdi whom the moslems are awaiting and so on and so
forth... I know all that, right!

He was supposed to bring the peace to this world.

On 12 Nov Baha'i International Community Inc. with registered
trademarks will celebrate the 193rd birthday of their God
(Manifestation).

In a span of 193 or whatever years where is peace? in Los Angeles?

When is the peace going to come ? after 1000 years?

In this short / long period Baha'i Community is struggling to keep /
retain its followers who are "exiting by troops" in every country.
There is corruption among baha'is everywhere. In the name of religion
there are election frauds in every community. Groupism and jelousy is
everywhere. Nowadays many Baha'is are against the Stalinist
Administrative system.

The division among the Baha'is is a known fact. The court fight for
the use (misuse) of Registered Religious Symbols is known to everybody.
Is this what Lord Krishna or Buddha or Imam Mahdi or Jesus or any other
true saviour was awaited? Was he awaited to register the Religious
Symbols?

Today after 193 years after the birth of Mr. Baha'u'llah, majority
of the world does not even know his name, keep aside his dreams of
Universal Government.

90% of the Israelis do not know Mr. Baha'u'llah and  Mr. Bob who are
buried there. Even many Haifans do not know them. Do you know this?

I will advice you to return to your home in Iran and take some rest
there. If you want - tell me I will ask some of my friends (Mullas) to
admit you in any good Hawza in Qom where you will have no work and the
people of WF will give you money to spend your life in peace (?) ;-)
(Just Joking)

Take Care

So, when were you trained by Hojatieh to call for Bahais death and worse?

Even if all things that you say are true, ( I know you're just a crazy camel, but if you were actually a decent human being), should any one be subject to discrimination, harrasment, torture and death only because of their beliefs?

Now, you knee jerk Hojatieh side would immediately say yes.

Adib Masumian

Shutruk

by Adib Masumian on

The British establisment: Oxbridge, the Times of London, the BBC, The British Museum, the Foreign Office and even Tony Blair's wife are all avid supporters of the Bahai cult.

It seems that your criterion for someone being an "avid supporter" of the Baha'is is that they have spoken out against their persecution at least once. Inextricably linked to that support is the malicious backing of the Baha'is so that they can advance some sort of hegemonic plot.

According to this depiction, in addition to Baha'is being agents of Britain, they are also agents of India, New Zealand, Austria, Scotland, Kurds, Catholicism, and Googoosh to name a few examples, because they have all spoken out against the persecution of the Baha'is at some point in time (source: //www.iranpresswatch.org/post/category/public-support). Makes sense.

Also, I won't doubt that some disgruntled people are former Baha'is since that's obviously true, but there are plenty of others who engage in other tactics, such as claiming to be former Baha'is and then speaking ill of their previous faith under the guise that their assertions are legitimate because they were "privy to the details." Others, like some people on Iranian.com, will pretend to be Baha'is and only make posts about how Baha'u'llah is the only way and that his religion is supreme to everything else in an exceedingly untactful display of overzealousness to give the impression (or perhaps confirm the erroneous notion) in many an Iranian's mind that all Baha'is are indeed nothing more than tactless, fundamentalist receptacles, essentially nothing more than "conversion machines." To disprove that, all I need to do is point you to a local Baha'i center (which are not far and few, so it wouldn't be hard) and have the person in question actually meet some Baha'is.

There are documents which show that the British Empire considered the Bahais a "friendly element" to combat Persian nationalism.

I've seen those documents. They do indeed say that Baha'is are a friendly element, but they say that in the context of the Baha'is not posing a problem - as in they won't interfere, since they adhere to a faith that is inherently apolitical (especially moreso during that time, when such a principle was even more circumspect) and places an emphasis on nonviolence - in the British's affairs in Persia. There's nothing in there suggesting a lurid political relationship between the Baha'is and the British government. You're connecting dots that aren't there.

As regards your link: if I wanted to read emotionally charged and overtly biased diatribes and fanciful trajectories of the past, I would have picked up a copy of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Adib is trying to fool everyone

Adib,

The British establisment: Oxbridge, the Times of London, the BBC, The British Museum, the Foreign Office and even Tony Blair's wife are all avid supporters of the Bahai cult.  They would like nothing more than for all Iranians to become Bahais so they can take over the country. They evidently realise that Muslims will never allow the return of the Arbab-Nokar relationship that existed before. There are documents which show that the British Empire considered the Bahais a "friendly element" to combat Persian nationalism.

I suggest everyone read the confessions of former Bahais about how the Zionist state funds and supports the cult of the Bab.

Face facts: Your cult takes its orders from London and Haifa via Tel Aviv. You can fool some of the people here, but not me.
