Thank you

by Souri on

Dear Samaavar, thank you a lot, for this beautiful nostalgic song which brought tears to my eyes ....and also thanks for the beautiful old songs of Aznavours (hier encore and Isabelle ...and others)

Unlike the other friends, me I don' t like Shahiar Ghanbari at all (talking of the person) but I have to admit that I am in admiration face to some of his poems....like Niaz(Namaz)

Loved that one,

Thanks again

Majid

Dear Party Girl

Many thanks for your kind words and extra links on Shahyar Ghanbari. Let us also remind ourself of his other masterful contributions: like Koodakaneh.

Mine is but a humble contribution. You are the Queen of Memerabilia :-)

An Exceptional Artist

Thank you, Samavar!

I love this man so much!  He is the embodiment of a social courage most other Iranians lack.  He talks words most of us think but cannot say or do not know how to say.  Have you heard this one, "Berahnegi" (nakedness)?

and this one, "Baghalam Kon" (hold me tight):

But by far, his most beautiful song, which makes me cry everytime I hear it, is the song he wrote about the young Iranian soldiers who died in the Iran-Iraq war front.  Powerful words, powerful music, and a powerful delivery, worth every painful tear I have ever cried for it.:

Thanks again for the memories.
