One day shall come that being a muslim is a crime and you have to deny even being one to avoid jail.

What I am posting here and blogging about may actually make many Islam haters on IC happy and ready to attack as usual. I do expect nothing from these death to Islam crowd of IC. I should say do not even bother !!

I only ask those who cares , muslim or non muslim , religious or non religious ones to be a voice for the voiceless. Let it be written that at this time of the history the target is no longer Jews or Communists but it is " ISLAM "

New McCarthy-like Congressional hearings beginning this Thursday about Muslims in America

Congress To Hold Hearings On Muslim Threat

Things may get worse, Rep. Peter King (R-NY), Chair of the Homeland Security Committee of the House of Representatives, is holding McCarthy-like Congressional hearings beginning this Thursday on the "Radicalization of American Muslims."

Quite a bit of the proposed witness list has looked like a who's who of Islamophobes,
and we Muslim Americans are holding our collective breath waiting for the fallout from these hearings.

We wonder: will we see more hate mobs outside our mosques or events due to hysteria being whipped up by these hearings?

It's certainly possible, and Muslims around the country are strategizing on how to respond to protect our faith community from more bigoted protests,
or even dangerous attacks on our places of worship and individuals.

A Minnesota Democrat, congressman Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to the House,

says that while it's proper to investigate radicalization, he thinks it is wrong to single out a religious minority.

"I worry about it," he said on the program. "Everybody I talk to worries about it, and we're concerned about the breadth of this."

He added, "It's absolutely the right thing to do for the chairman of the Homeland Security Committee to investigate radicalization,

but to say we're going to investigate a religious minority, and a particular one, I think is the wrong course of action to take."

On Sunday, groups opposed to King's hearings plan to rally in New York. President Barack Obama's deputy national security adviser

will speak on the administration's approach to countering domestic radicalization.

Prior to the hearings, Ben Smith at Politico provided this quote from Rep. Peter King “I determined early on that to make the most meaningful impact, the lead witnesses would be Muslims who believe their community is being radicalized and that Muslim leaders are not sufficiently cooperating with law enforcement.”  Read that a few times.

He is saying that the Muslims that he will be calling as witnesses are those who agree with him.  In order to be considered as a witness, a witness would have to agree that “Muslim leaders are not sufficiently cooperating with law enforcement”.

This is a set up to hear only one opinion.
Rep. King followed through on his determination.
At the end of the day, there were no actual hard facts that were brought out.  The only witness that had any hard facts was Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca.  What we heard were emotional personal stories, opinions, allegations, stereotypes, and innuendo. There were no law enforcement officers other than Baca, no sociologists, or psychologists, or criminologists, or experts of any kind.

There were no representatives of national American Muslim organizations, or scholars of Islam.  No professional studies or reports were brought forward.  This was pure political and ideological theater, and it was at the expense of the American Muslim community. by Sheila Musaji

So, veiled one

don't confuse

the pro Israel lobby on this Iranian website

with all the jews.

This Nateyahu crowd have been advocating for the sanction and bombardment of Iranians.

This same crowd does not miss any opportunity to badmouth Muslims here and every where.

Fortunately for Iranians,

Iran is on the way up

while Israel's future is going to manure.

Mola seems to think that we all share his hatred of Jews. I have news: we do not. Zionst simply means a person who wants a home for Jews in ME. In their traditional lands of Judea and Samaria. What is wrong with that?

Cyrus the Great was a Zionist by that definition. He helped the Jews get back their home. He gave them the resources and protection to rebuld their temple. I rather be with Cyrus the Great not Molla and his Shotor khan.

You are losing it man. Who said anything about KKK. You know nothing of Americans. I don't know where you live. But if you live in America get out of the mosque. Go and meet some Americans. Of course if your first words are: Zionist blah blah you won't get far.

It is people like you that King wants to flush out. I wish King well in this. People like you should be barred from America.

by Soosan Khanoom on

I siad it before and I say it again:   " WE NEED A PERMANENT PEACE IN MIDDLE EAST"   and that can only be achieved when ALL PROGRESSIVE VOICES " get together  ( Muslims, Jews , and Christians )   We need to stand against injustices and need to advocate for LOVE & PEACE   rather than be the advocate for 'HATE & WAR "

I have done more digging into this case and BINGO

We live in a country that has laws that provide for justice, liberty and freedom for all its inhabitants - including Muslims.........  Muslim community in the U.S  have been collaborating with the government to let the muslim radicals come to justice. .......... actually that is based on the fact that "We are Muslims AND we are Americans." ..............According to a study by the Triangle Center on Terrorism........... there have been 120 cases of American Muslims charged with committing or conspiring to commit an act of terrorism since 2001........ That's approximately ten a year. Given the American Muslim population in the U.S it clearly states that radicalization among American Muslims is not widespread at all...................the study suggests that the rate has been decreasing in the recent years rather than increasing.......... furthermore, the study reports that in over a third of those cases, it was tips from the Muslim community itself that led to the arrests of the conspirators...........   Here we see both King's accusations are statically false to begin with ...........

So now what is all these fuzz about ..........

I know that there is problem with fundamentalism in Islam......... But , Islam , the religion should not be blamed........ Islam does not allow for that and the fundamentalists  know it even though they use "Islam" to justify their use of violence against those who do not hold their ideology supreme................  So There is an "insidious supremacism" in Islam, but also in others; certainly we see it all the time within Christianity, and Zionism ....... It's a problem that will only be solved when we all work on it............ not when Muslims grovel with cries of "mea culpa" in Arabic...................

Violence and extremism grow from a variety of causes only some of which come from within the community itself...... Not to brush off tribalism, sexism, and those aforementioned dysfunctional behaviors......... but , weather you admit or not , also have to confront imperialism, colonialism and western-promoted militarism, or we are NO progressives at all............

Something that I found a few of us even are here at IC......... Now ask  Mr. Jasser about that  ......... and who exactly is Mr. Jasser .......   on wikipedia Jasser is described as ..............   "an active Republican who has supported the U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, is an advocate for Israel and says
his faith harbors an insidious supremacism."

But interesting enough and that is so interesting...... is that he is also the founder of  American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD)

This is what I found on them online .........

A right-wing lobby group AIFD claims to battle "Islamo-facsism" and to be "a leading voice for liberty-minded Muslims in America in the war on terror." .... ....

The group seems to have no support at all beyond right wing publications such as National Review Online, or the New York Sun.

Jasper argues:

We need to create organizations — high-profile, well-funded national organizations and think tanks — which are not afraid to identify al Qaeda, Hamas, and Hezbollah by name, and by their mission as the enemies of America.

OK NOW ..........If IRA did not attack U.S as King's suggests defending his support of IRA ......... then why this should not be the case with Hamas, and Hezbollah ?  ..........From three terroists groups that Jasper has in his mind only one " al Qaeda " attached the U.S soil .......

As I mentioned earlier this group seems to have no support at all beyond right wing publications such as National Review Online, or the New York Sun. ................... AIFD's raison d'etre
seems to be the targetting of mainstream Muslim organizations, such as CAIR."

Several writers against King's hearing have suggested that a purpose of this hearing is to promote such founded group by Jasser  as acceptable "mainstream" Muslims.
The term "Judenrat" keeps   coming to mind. (Google it) .............

S5555,

you are a self confessed extremist Zionist

hence, an slave to your racist Ideology.

You are the one who is advocating 'bomb bomb bomb' Iran 24/7.

If it was up to you and the rest of Natenyahu loving Zionist Jews, all Muslims would've been in concerntrations camps in the West by now. Go sell wares somewhere else, maybe on an Egyption website. Mubarak is overthrown and Israel needs your help there.

Veiled one,

This is what you say: "You don't know Americans. How much time have you spent really getting to know them? The ones you call redneck or racist are just people."

The followers of Ku Klux Klan who kill blacks and all the other racist groups including extremist Zionists are people too.

So according to your logic if the American hate groups kill and burn it's ok because they are just people too. They just killed an elderly man who was walking on the street in California. Do you know why? Becasue he was dressed like a Muslim.

Take that veil off your face so you could breath some fresh air and think straight.

Agreed as usual but I will say one thing: Muslims are victims of violence and because the greatest perpetrators of violence against Muslims are other Muslims.

Even before the invasion of Afghanistan in 2001 the Taliban was slaughtering its own people turning the country into a mideval Islamic Shariah hell hole.

Whilst Bush/Blair opened a hornet's nest with the invasion of Iraq in 2003 , who are kiling Muslims? Who is responsible for the bombs exploding in the market and the election polling stations? Who is responsible for blowing up mosques? Who is responsible for the beheadings and slaughter of young men recruiting as police? The stupid Shia/Sunni Islamic murderers who still have a running dispute over Mohammed's barbaric religion.

Who has killed more Muslims in Algeria? The French? Nope. The Islamists!

If you think about it who is killing more Muslims in Iran, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia? Muslims killing themsleves and their own people.

Who is killing Muslims in Libya? An anti-Westerm, anti imperialist revolutionary called Qdafi.

Muslims are by far the biggest victims on earth and also the most violent as demonstrated by the way they kill themselves.

Blaming it all on Western imperialists is old hat. Islam is really one of the most evil self-destructive cults on the planet.

We all know Islam is not a race. In fact Muslims are always bragging about billions of Muslims. Obviously they are not all the same race.

The race card just happens to be a useful tool. After the 60s Americans got this guilt feeling about treating other races. Sure it was wrong to mistreat blacks. Muslims are trying to hijack the race card {hijacking is one of their few skills}. You, I and others have repeatedly pointed out that Islam is not a race. But why let truth get in their way? Have you ever heard an honest Islamic scholar? {I actually heard one admiting Islam was in trouble so there is at least one}.

The favorite Islamic tactic is to pretend to be a victim. Oh poor Muslims are victims because they are not allowed to stone people. Or the evil West prevents them from honor killing or wife beating. West won't let them rape 9 year olds. West does not put cartoonists in jail for making fun of Mohammad. This victim BS is total nonsense. Not only they are not victims but they are the greatest victimizers of today.

I didn't know Islam was a race!

There is absolutely nothing racist in atttacking Islam and as far as I am aware of there is no law in the US constitution or Federal Law which can prevent you from being Islamaphobic.

Feel free to attack Islam anyway you like.

I don't pretend to be anything. I always tell people I am Iranian (not Persian). I do not run away from who I am. The only time I got any *** for it was in the middle of the hostage crisis. And that was pretty minimal.

Pretence is when we claim to be what we are not. I am not a Muslim. So for me to say I was would be pretending. You want me to say I am a Muslim when I don't believe in Islam. What kind of person would claim to follow a religion they don't believe in?

Pretending is to take an oath to uphold American values then undermine it. That is dishonest. When I came here I took an oath to uphold American values. I fully intend to keep it. Not like Islamists who come here then try to wreck it from inside. By doing so ruin the good name of us all.

I have lived in the USA for decades and know many Americans. I know the ones you call racists. They do not consider me a Muslim. They are not as stupid as you think. In fact they know the difference very well. Many of them prefer me to US born and "white" left wing America haters.

You just want people like me to be afraid and run to Islam. No: when I tell them I saw Islamism first hand they sympathize with me. They welcome my warnings because it makes sense to them. In fact I married a woman from a very Christian family. We are divorced now but her family still considers me a part of them. In many ways I have better relations with them than my ex wife does. So don't go around saying things that don't make sense.

You don't know Americans. How much time have you spent really getting to know them? The ones you call redneck or racist are just people. No worse than anyone else. Yes, there is racism in America. But most of it is not directed against Iranians. Specially Iranians who do not go around dressed like Arabs.

Sick n tired of those painting all Muslims as Islamists.  Just as I'm sick and tired of those pretending there is no problem. There is a problem ! In Europe, at least. But not with Muslims. With Islamists.

People should learn to distinguish btwn Muslims and Islamists as they distinguish btwn Xs and fundamentalist Xs.

The only difference being that fundamentalist Xs can stick it in their ass as far as l'm concerned. Their power is finished, over. The same should apply to Islamists as well.

PS. in fact, all of you religionists should go you know where. If there is one thing Marx was right about, it's religion.

The two allegations will be verifiably false once it is proven and once the proceedings are through.

He is not just going based on his feelings and thats is one reason he has held this hearing. What do muslims have to be so afraid of and insecure about? A hearing is usually held to look introspectilvely on all the facts about an issue and to examine them.

It is one important channel through which congressmen can secure their grasp and understanding on the specifics of certain politically and security-related affairs in this country. Hearings are a means to gather ideas and opinions to facilitate/recommend enacting new legislations in the future.

"Peter King is creating a religious enemy"

by Mola Nasredeen on

These are the words of US congressman Michael Honda who spent his childhood in an interment camp for being Japanese. He has harsh words for the Peter King and his lackies:

"This time, instead of creating an ethnic enemy, Congressman King is creating a religious enemy. Because of prejudice, war hysteria and a failure of Republican leadership, King is targeting the entire Muslim-American community. Similar to my experience, they are become increasingly marginalized and isolated by our policies.

Never mind the fact that many were born in America and have no allegiance to their ancestors' native homeland. Never mind the fact that they are patriotic Americans and law-abiding citizens. Never mind the fact that they are constructively contributing to the American economy. Irrespective of all this, millions of Americans have become the new enemy, with no cause and no crime."
