سلطنت پهلوی و حکومت اسلامی با نفی آزادیهای سیاسی مانع رشد سیاسی، گسترش سازمانهای مدنی و در نتیجه باروری و خلاقیت اجتماعی و سیاسی گردیده اند. تک صدایی در نظام ولایت فقیه با شعار حزب فقط حزب الله و در دوران محمد رضا شاه با شعار حزب فقط حزب رستاخیر به جامعه تحمیل گردید. در چنین فضاهایی قدرت مطلقه پادشاه یا ولی فقیه حق تعیین سرنوشت ملت را نفی میکند

The immediate reason is the Iranian-American campaign spearheaded by NIAC to keep the MEK on the U.S.'s terrorist list. NIAC and others have launched this campaign because delisting the MEK would unleash a major force for a U.S.-Iran war, undermine the peaceful pro-democracy movement in Iran while empowering anti-democratic hardliners, and put the free voices of the Iranian-American community under threat>>>

Delisting the MEK might indeed be a step in the right direction. Iranian patriotism has suffered for the fact that a group among them has been on the terrorist list of the US, a nation which many of them cherish. The MEK in the past was the most anti-American of all Iranian groups. US delisting the MEK is then a step toward normalizing relations between Americans and Iranians. The Iranian people will welcome any moderating influence on the MEK, which has been a source of extremism, violence and fear in a nation that is longing for peace and reconciliation>>>

واقعيت تاريخی تکرار مکررات در قالبهای متفاوت نسبت به زمان ومکان است که روزگاری پندار وگفتار وکردار نيک زرتشت، بهانه سلطه گری بود وروزگاری ديگر نسيم رهائی بخش اسلام دست آويز خودکامگی خلفای عرب شد و امروز دموکراسی گرفتار بازی پليد امپرياليستی غرب است. درعين حال خودکامگان ريز ودرشت استبداد پيشينيان را آنچنان برخ مردم کشيدند که تو گوئی خود از هر گونه خودمحوری مبرا بودند>>>

طرفداران ولی فقیه از یک طرف درجهُ عصمت را تقلیل داده اند تا در دسترس رهبر قرارش دهند و اسباب ریاست وی را کامل سازند ولی از سوی دیگر اختیارات او (اقتدار جامع مذهبی و سیاسی) را در بالاترین حد نگاه داشته اند تا بتواند چنانکه طرح خمینی بود و خواست همگی هواداران نظام نیز هست، بر جمهوری اسلامی فرمان براند. حرف از جهتی منطقیست چون اقتدار رهبر بدون عصمت بی پایه است. ولی نکته در اینجاست که ...>>>

چندی قبل یک از روزنامه نگاران اروپایی نوشته بود که ایران مستقل ترین کشور خاورمیانه است. به نظر من این جمله نوعی انتقاد در لفافه ای پر زرق و برق است. کسی که استقلال واقعی دارد و می تواند هر کاری دلش خواست بکند، این نکته را ثابت میکند که نه دوستانی دارد که ملاحظه آنها را بکند و نه منافع بلندمدتی برایش متصور است که در تصمیم گیری های خود آنها را در نظر بگیرد. اسقلال واقعی یعنی نداشتن هیچگونه وابستگی واقعی و عملی یعنی زندگی در دنیایی کاملاً ذهنی یعنی بودن>>>

این روز‌ها نه تنها ایران در مخمصه نوعی مدیریت غیر انسانی و حکومت قرون وسطایی گیر افتاده و با نابسامانی و ناهنجاری دست به گریبان است، بلکه در سراسر کره خاکی نکاتی را می‌توان برشمرد که خوشبین‌ترین افراد را نیز به واکنش‌های یاس‌آلود سوق می‌دهد. واکنش‌های اعتراض‌آمیز ما پاسخی منطقی به بحرانی است که به عنوان شهروندان ایرانی با آن روبه‌رو هستیم. با این همه این روحیه اعتراض در سوی دیگر خود، جلوه‌های مثبت زندگی را نیز به رخ آدم‌ها می‌کشاند>>>

بعد از حوادث 22 خرداد سال 1388، تعداد زیادی از بره هایی که در این بازی شرکت داشتند در این مدت به صف گرگ پیوسته اند. میگوئید نه! به قول مش قاسم تا قبر آه! آه! آه یعنی فقط چهار انگشت فاصله است و نباید دروغ گفت. در این بازی هم مثل تمام بازی هایی که تاکنون در ایران صورت گرفته، زرنگترین بره پشت سر چوپان بدون برو برگرد در دور بعدی بازی گرگ خواهد شد. شک نکنید. این را تجربه چند هزار ساله زندگی اجتماعی ایرانیها میگوید. >>>

من هم معتقدم که صد‌ها هزار و شاید اگر اغراق نباشد میلیون‌ها ایرانی به‌طور عمومی می‌دانند و بی‌شک در حین زندگی در ایران متوجه شده‌اند که بی‌حرمتی، اجحاف و حتی خشونت نسبت به زنان وطن‌شان وجودی عمیق دارد ولی شاید کاملاً نمی‌دانند این پدیده مختص ایران و شرایط اقلیمی و فرهنگی آن نیست و در حقیقت یک پدیده قدیمی جهانی است>>>

Unlike Iran's democratic opposition, which advances through nonviolence the principles of democracy and human rights, the MEK is an undemocratic organization that pursues its agenda through violence.
