شاید با دیدن عنوان این مقاله بپرسید در شرایط بحرانی فعلی که کشور با تحریم و خطر جنگ روبرو است چنین سوالی چه ارزشی دارد؟ من پاسخی برای این سوال شما ندارم ولی اجازه بدهید به سوال خودم پاسخ بدهم. در وحلهٔ اول من ایرانیان را به دو گروه بزرگ تقسیم می‌کنم: ایرانیان وطن پرست مذهبی و ایرانیان وطن پرست غیر مذهبی>>>

تا کی بی تفاوت و بی خیال گاه و بی گاه اشگ تمساحی میریزند و بی تفاوت و خاموش از دور شاهد بزرگترین جنایات ضد انسانی در زاد گاه خود هستند ولی صدایشان در نمیاید. چه ویروس کشنده این ها را به این روز انداخته است؟ بچه هایشان را به کلاس فارسی میفرستند ولی جرات ندارند یک باز گوی از واقعیت وحشتناک و اشاره ای به خفقان بزرگ در سر زمینی که با زبان پارسی پیر شده است بکنند>>>

In Bahram Beyzaei’s shadow play, Jana and Baladoor, Jana is just one character among several who aids or battles the brave Baladoor in her quest to restore the primordial universe. So I wonder why Jana gets top billing in a play that’s really about the adventures of her sister, Baladoor. After all, The Epic of Gilgamesh or The Odyssey are aptly named after the character who is present in every scene in some way>>>

I can claim confidently that out of the official statistic of 98% of so-called Muslims in Iran, a great percentage of them are what I call Muslims by default, an army of pretenders. Since they are born into a Muslim family and raised in Iran, they inherit the family’s religion and thus automatically become Muslim. Had they been born in a Western country to a Christian family, they would have been Christian for sure>>>

For some time, a thought has bothered me. The more I read about the accomplishments – and failures - of Iranian immigrants, the clearer it becomes how we are still each on our own. Culturally, we were raised as an individualist nation. After decades of exposure to teamwork, most of us still do our best works alone. Group function is an acquired skill we have to yet master. No doubt, many will disagree with this, because after all, we can’t even begin to count the number of Iranian-American organizations and nor could one deny their accomplishments>>>

اگر به این امید باشیم که گروهی کار و زندگی شان را ول کرده و بدون هیچ پشتوانه ای به دنبال اتحاد ایرانیان و بوجود آوردن سازمانی برای چنین تشکلی باشند تنها خود را گول زده ایم. چنین امری بدون پشتوانۀ مالی امکان ناپذیر است. بیایید اول آن پشتوانۀ مالی را بوجود آوریم. بیایید صندوقی بوجود آوریم که نیروی محرکه بوجود آوردن چنین تشکلی شود>>>

America once took pride in calling itself and being known as the great “Melting Pot.” This seems no longer to be the case. As a nation and a people we seem to have developed a severe case of historic and hereditary amnesia. Worse than that, we have developed another severe inflammation of color phobia stoked again by fear mongers driven by destructive stereotypes. What has brought us in this new time to this old challenge regarding our identity as a nation?>>>

ماه گذشته مشغول بازخوانی داستانهای صادق هدایت و نسل اول نویسندگان ایرانی در قرن بیستم بودم. برایم شگفت انگیز بود که جوانی که از کودکی با فرهنگ غرب آشنائی داشته و در نوجوانی به اروپا آمده، چگونه ممکن است «حاجی آقا» یا «علویه خانم» را بنویسد؟ آن زبان را از کجا می شناخت؟ آن عبارات را کجا شنیده بود؟ - و این ممکن نیست مگر با تحقیق و یادداشت برداری از زبان مردم >>>
