انتشار متن سخنان یک مقام امنیتی/نظامی جمهوری اسلامی به نام سردار مشفق تصویری مسخره و در عین حال خطرناک و نگران کننده از ذهنیت حاکم بر مقامات ایران به دست می‌دهد. در این گفتار کمتر کسی از مقامات پیشین و اکنون جمهوری اسلامی از برچسب دشمن و توطئه‌گر و آلت دست خارجی در امان مانده است، و حتا اصول‌گرایانی مانند علی لاریجانی رییس مجلس رژیم و محمد باقر قالیباف نیز خواسته یا ناخواسته به مجریان منویات دشمنان داخلی یا قدرت‌های خارجی تبدیل شده‌اند و یا در خطر آن بوده‌اند>>>

The Plight of Ehsan Abdoh Tabrizi

A friend and colleague, Ehsan Abdoh Tabrizi has been held in the notorious Evin prison since mid January of this year. A fourth year PhD candidate at the School of Government and International Affairs (SGIA) at Durham University, Abdoh Tabrizi went back to Iran in during the Christmas holiday in December 2009 to visit his family, especially to see his mother who has been stricken with MS. This book is the outgrowth of my own ‘embodied experience of borders’, of ethnographic fieldwork among undocumented migrants between 2004 and 2008, and of teaching courses on irregular migration and the anthropology of borders. It also emerges from my activities outside academia: freelance journalism, helping arrange events such as film festivals about border crossing, and volunteer work for NGOs helping failed asylum seekers and undocumented migrants in Sweden.
