Congressional supporters of the drive to remove the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) from the U.S. terrorism list defended the organization’s use of violence while dismissing Iran’s nonviolent Green Movement at a hearing on Capitol Hill last week. The hearing was also remarkable in that senior leaders of the designated foreign terrorist organization were caught counseling some of the witnesses before the hearing. It is illegal to coordinate with a foreign terrorist organization to advocate on behalf of the terrorist group>>>

در بسیاری از جوامع، عمل «خودارضایی» رفتاری کراهت‌آمیز توصیف شده است.اما از دید دانشمندان معاصر، داوری درباره یک پدیده عمومی از معیارهای تهدیدکننده و پرهیزدهنده نظیر گناه، شرم و نادانی سود نمی‌جوید. بنابراین عملِ «خودارضایی»، نه تنها ممنوع و مذموم شمرده نمی‌شود بلکه رفتاری است که بی‌تردید برای ادامه بقای موجودات زنده، موثر و مفید است>>>

I was there. It happened. The student protests of 1999 started with the closing of a reformist newspaper, grew into more than 50,000 young people coming out into the streets of Tehran, and countless others who protested in cities all over the country. The protests ended with the imprisonment of thousands of those of us who participated. Back then, we were for the first time vocal in our questioning of our government. Before 18 Tir, people in our country wouldn’t dare come out in protest with slogans like “down with the dictator” or “down with Khameini.”>>>

There is another alternative to the two-state solution: If Israeli people and others do not accept a Palestinian state alongside a Jewish state, then Palestinians and Arabs within the occupied territories should demand full rights of citizenship within Israel. They can then participate in the same democracy that Israel is affording its Jewish citizens and vote to change the current government of Israel and even change the name of Israel back to Palestine>>>

در ساعت گرگ و میش بود که در اتاق ها باز شد. صدایش کردند. حوله ی حمام به دست گرفت با چشم بند خاکستری. لنگان لنگان زیر دوش ایستاد. رگه های ولرم آب از شانه هایش گذشت. کف پایش خیس شد. غسل گرفت. در سه دقیقه کارش تمام شد. تیر خلاصی را همبازی دوران کودکی اش زد. بی هیچ آشنا زدایی!

Despite all political and moral pressure Iran faces worldwide, it has designed its narrative in such a way that it calls every UN resolution an American one, and instead of responding to the cases of human rights violations in Iran, it attacks Washington directly and offers instances of human rights violations in the U.S. It's not surprising that attacking the U.S. on human rights appeals to some countries, particularly those that, next to Iran, bear a similar international pressure>>>
