سالی پدرم که نمایشنامه نویس رادیو ایران بود برای من یک رادیوی ترانزیستوری کوچک خرید و من هر نیمه شب بعد از شنیدن «داستان شب» به برنامه ای از رادیو ایران گوش می دادم که در آن زمان توسط "ایرج گرگین" یکی از خوش صدا ترین گوینده های رادیو پخش می شد و این برنامه که اسم آن را بیاد ندارم اختصاص داشت به معرفی و پخش موسیقی کشورهای آمریکای جنوبی>>>

سلطنت و هر قدرت موروثی و انتصابی دیگری در هر کجای جهان بویژه درایران میل به خودکامگی دارد. به همین دلیل هم هست که در اکثر دموکراسی های جهان این نهاد بکلی از میان رفته است. در کشورهای بریتانیا، سوئد و یا اسپانیا نیز به نهاد سلطنت همچون یکی از اشیاء موزه تاریخ نگاه می کنند. و پادشاه از هرگونه دخالت در سیاست منع شده است، چرا که تجربه تلخ دخالت این نهاد در سیاست را فراموش نکرده اند>>>

ما شروع کردیم به حرف زدن با خودمان و گاه گاهی با دیوار و کف چوبی سلول های در هم فشرده از خون و چرکاب. همان طور که در سلول های آهنی در هم ریخته شده از رد شلاق و باتون را به رویمان می بستند پتو را روی سرمان گذاشتیم تا خدای نکرده بازجو و نگهبان ها اشک صورتمان را نبینند>>>

While it will never happen, nevertheless if not here, and if not now, then where the hell else is this going to be said? Yes, I said it. The US should block the Straits. Not for all oil, just Iran's oil. Not to put pressure on the top elite, that would never happen. That theory is about the same as the effect the Occupy 99% have had on the conscience of the 1%. Or 0%. No, I mean to exactly put pressure on the middle and lower class of Iran with a sanction so deep, it effectively angers the average Iranian into action>>>

Israel is not contemplating war against Iran, any more than the United States. Its noisy threats are, paradoxically, a signal that it is not planning to attack. When it bombed Iraq’s Osirak reactor in 1981, and Syria’s alleged nuclear facility in 2007, it did so in total secrecy and with no advance warning. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s fevered references to the ‘existential’ menace of an Iranian bomb should, I believe, be read, not as a prelude to war, but as an alternative to war>>>
