علیرضا پهلوی در آغاز سال نو میلادی، به خودش گلوله زد و در غربت جان سپرد. آیا این خودکشی‌ها نمادی از بن‌بست است؟ آیا خاطرۀ دردناک مرگ پدر و خواهرش لیلا، او را به این اتنخاب کشید؟ آیا چون «از آنچه به ناروا بر میهن عزیزش می‌گذشت آزرده و غمگین بود...» ـ خود را کشت؟ >>>

معلوم نیست آقای خاتمی در پاسخ به دعوت کدام مقام حاکم در جمهوری اسلامی برای شرکت اصلاح‌طلبان هوادار خود در انتخابات این شروط را پیش کشیده، و تضمین تحقق این شروط را از چه مقام یا مقاماتی خواسته است. آیا هنوز آقای خاتمی این پیام حاکمیت را در نیافته است که دیگر جایی برای «اصلاحات» در جمهوری اسلامی خامنه‌ای باقی نمانده است؟ و وقتی کسی را به دِه راه نمی‌دهند، سراغ خانه کدخدا را گرفتن از چه روحیه و فرهنگی حکایت می‌کند؟>>>

من، مثل هر انسان عدالت طلب و آزادی خواه، طبعا رضاشاه را به عنوان یک دیکتاتور می شناسم، حتی روش های تحمیل گرایانه ی او را برای برداشتن چادر از سرزنان عملی دیکتاتورمآبانه می دانم، و تحقق نیافتن بسیاری از خواست های انقلاب مشروطیت ، مثل آزادی های بیان و انتخاب و احزاب و غیره را، نتیجه ی مستقیم عملیات نادرست او می دانم اما، به اعتقاد من، هر حرکتی که به آزادی انسان از بندهایی که سنت ها به دست و پای او بسته بیانجامد حرکتی قابل تعمق و توجه و ارج گذاری است>>>

According to a recently released cable obtained by WikiLeaks, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was slapped in the face by Revolutionary Guard Chief of Staff Mohammed Ali Jafari. According to the cable, Ahmadinejad surprised the Supreme National Security Council by taking a liberal posture on opposition protests. The president allegedly argued that people felt "suffocated," and that allowing more social and personal freedoms, as well as more freedom of the press, would help to defuse the situation>>>

To them, the worse the socio-economic condition of Iran and its people, the better for the realization of their hopes for “regime change”.
