بسیاری از ما ایرانیان از کودکی با داستانهای "لیلی و مجنون"، "یوسف و زلیخا" و حتی "رومئو ژولیت" آشنا بوده ایم، اما با برخی از داستانهای ایرانی الاصل آشنایی نداشته و نداریم. برای مثال، من به طور کاملا تصادفی با منظومه "ویس و رامین" آشنا شدم و متوجه شدم که داستانی از ایران باستان است. پس از خواندن منظومه، شروع به کنکاش کردم ومتوجه شدم که این داستان حقیقتا از نظر غالب مردم دور مانده و بسیاری افراد حتی اسم آن را هم نشنیده اند.>>>

"Okay," he said. 'But sometimes it's good to disagree a lot. It shows that we're being honest."
"I don't want to get good at disagreeing with you. I want us to not disagree so much." >>>

It appears that the war train in the Middle East is on the way. There are no doubts that the issues of internal struggles for freedom and foreign policies are irrelevant factor to the Western governments. They are neither concerned about the Green movement nor the Nuclear technology in Iran. What ticks the Western governments off is the same unjust, bias, and bully mentality to bring a stray nation back at servicing their Western governments>>>

Sometimes it’s better not to pay attention to names, because while I’m mad at a woman I heard on the radio the other day, I have no idea who she is. It’s hard to stay angry with an anonymous person. I had dialed to NPR on the car radio and heard a discussion about films, cinema and such. When my husband tried to change stations in search of music, I stopped him and said, “That woman sounds Persian!”>>>

Faintly in my memories I recall an America that was beautiful in many ways. We were a righteous national community, in a good way, respectful and hard-working. During my lifetime, I have watched with much helplessness as we reached middle age the beauty started to fade, and our actions became centered on greed and self-fulfilling daily lives with eyes that could only envision a myopic short-term span. More or less we evolved into an “if it feels good, do it” and “whoever has the most toys wins” mentality that forced a massive change in our general climate, as a nation and a people>>>

آقای خامنه ای، سالها نیک خواهانه نصیحت کردم و امیدوارانه دل به تاثیر بستم، اما "از قضا سرکنگبین صفرا فزود" و بیمار رنجور تر شد. بیمار ما خیال اندیش شده بود. نصیحت ها را دروغ ودغلبازی ونقدها را توطئه وبراندازی می دید و جرم‌های جاسوسی و ناموسی برای ناقدان میتراشید و آنان را به زجر و زنجیر می کشید. مداحان را می خرید ونقادان را می درید ورقیبان را سر می برید>>>

به راستى تكليف ايرانيانى كه تعلق خاطرى به ايمان مذهبى ندارند در قبال ايرانيان مذهبى از مومن و متدين و متشرع و متعصب و متصلب گرفته تا امثال دكتر سروش كه ادعاى روشن انديشى دارند چيست؟ در اين نوشته نشان خواهيم داد كه روش هاى رايج و معمول مواجهه ى بى مذهب ها با مذهبى ها كامياب نبوده اند و نه تنها مسيرهايى بوده اند كه ره به هيچ منزل صوابى نبرده اند بلكه مايه ى تحريك بيخودى احساسات و واكنش هاى افراطى مذهبيون هم گرديده و حاصل عكس به بار آورده اند>>>

قطعنامه شورای امنیت در دهمین سال هزاره سوم روی میدهد و جدا از همه پی آمدهای آن می تواند شاهدی از عدم شناخت سیستم بین المللی توسط سیاستمداران و در عین حال مردم عادی ایران در طول چند قرنی باشد که از آشنایی ما با تمدن غربی می گذرد. همه شکستهایی بین المللی ایران نتیجه عدم درک روشن ما از سیستم بین المللی غالب بر جهان است که بعد از رنسانس در اروپا جا افتاد ولی به نظر میرسد که ما تاکنون از درک درست آن غافل بوده ایم و صدور این قطعنامه ها در این راستا بوده است>>>
