آیا واقعاً این «دیروز» این اندازه بیفایده است که بتوان به همین راحتی توصیۀ فراموش کردنش را داد؟ تصور نمیکنم چنین باشد. ما امروزمان را به کمک دیروزمان میفهمیم و فردایمان را به یاری این دو در تصور میاوریم و هدف عمل قرار میدهیم. فراموش کردن دیروز پیامدی جز مختل کردن اندیشه و عمل ما ندارد>>>

در این میان نقش "سید فخر" به عنوان یک چهره مطرح و محبوب در بیرون و درون زندان بسیار موثر و منحصربفرد بود. او که در بدو امر به عنوان یک فرد غیرتشکیلاتی و صرفآ یک سمپات مجاهدین و همینطور یکی از نزدیکان خانوادگی آیت الله طاهری، ظاهرآ حساسیت زیادی رویش نبود، در همان فاصله سالهای ۶۰ و ۶۱ شخصیت اجتماعی خاص خودش را با جسارت در زندان نیز بارز و تثبیت کرد>>>

همه چیز ادا و اطوار است و شو و نمایش. آنها بلدند خوب نقش یک مرد را باز کنند، خوب حرف بزنند و خود را بی‌تفاوت یا مغرور و یا علاقمند و عاشق نشان دهند. آنها بر اثر تجربه، با زنهای مختلف می‌دانند، چطور رفتار کنند می‌دانند کی اصرار کنند، کی منت کشی و یا کم محلی کنند و چه موقع خود را بی‌تفاوت و یا حسود نشان دهند>>>
