"Rostam" AKA "Peere Panaahgaah" is a very old stray that was left behind Vafa shelter, hungry and weak. Lida says: 'I can't say he's gotten any younger but he is sure in better health and is spending his senior days in better conditions.
"Nanaz" was spotted by Lida Esnaashari on her way to the shelter. She noticed her front leg was hanging badly (as if it was broken) but everytime she attempted to catch Nanaz, she'd escape. Finally after a week of not giving up, she caught her, took her to an orthopedic doctor and they decided it's in a very bad shape and must be amputated. The rest is history--she is now living happily at the shelter. (this photo also courtesy of lida esnaashari)
"Patrice" lived in a home in Mehrshahr. Her leg got wounded at some point and unfortunately neglected for a long time. At that time the neighbors intervened and took her to a vet. Still she did not get the proper care and the leg ended up deformed. The neighbors stepped in again reached out to the shelter for help. Lida and Sharareh khanoom went there in a van with a large crate and moved him to Sharareh's house. She was treated there until she recovered and then they moved her to the shelter.
