The inner quarter at the end of the garden.
It is a 19th century structure ordered as home for Qajar prince Hamid Mirza Farmanfarmaian, the governor of the region. This is a view from the outside of the outer quarter, the more beautiful structure.
Next was a garden and mansion known as Shahzadeh Maahaan (Prince of Maahaan). Similar to all traditional Iranian homes it is made up of a Biruni (the outer quarter) and an Andaruni (the inner quarter). A vast garden separates the two quarters.
There is always time for Paloudeh, my favorite Iranian substitute for ice cream!!!!
The complex has gone through three major reconstructions during Safavid (1600s), Qajar (1800s) and recent periods (1950s).
