One thing about Afghanistan is that what might look remote to us, is not really remote. The fact that there is no proper infrastructure in most parts of Afghanistan means that more or less everywhere is equally accessible and inaccessible. So wherever you think you are alone, suddenly someone's head pops up seemingly out of nowhere.

The locals in this area have mastered the skill of dry stone walling. Absolutely beautiful how the building material and techniques yield into a product that blends so well into its natural setting. Impressive craftsmanship!
