Wednesdays are women’s day in the bazaar. That is the only day women can use the public hammaam, all the other days, it is men only. I hope we can change that.

It’s Thursday afternoon and the labourers are gathering to collect their week’s pay.

Getting the labourers to wear hardhats is a fulltime job. It is even more difficult to get the local architects and engineers to wear one. They want a specific colour that would indicted their status, otherwise there is no way they are going to wear the same colour hats at the labourers. We still have not found a solution. In the meanwhile, they prefer to walk around bare headed.
